We are a rescue group, consisting of all foster homes. We do board dogs when we don't have enough fosters. We provide vet care, spay/neuter, shots, hearworm, & flea medication to all of our pets. We very often save animals other rescues would put down, for such things as broken hips, legs, car accidents, heartworm, etc. This year alone, we have done 2 broken hip dogs, 2 broken leg dogs, and at least 2 heartworm dogs. We are all staffed by volunteers & receive no goverment funding. We also educate people about the importance of spay/neuter and refer them to All About Animals Spay/Neuter clinics as well as provide literature about this & proper vet care. We do this because we believe that every dog & cat deserves a safe, loving, nuturing forever home with proper care & training.

Faerie Tales Cat Rescue

We are a small, dedicated group of animal lovers who are working hard attempting to place neglected, abused, lost and otherwise homeless kitties. Our goal is to provide to as many kitties as possible, opportunities to find a loving home to call their own. We are very concerned about the ever growing over population of kitties and are diligent in our efforts to promote the spay and neuter of felines. We are an all breed rescue and work as a no kill group. All of our fosters are located in private foster homes as we are not a shelter. We are a very young group forming in June 2005, however all of our volunteers have years of rescue experience, countless contacts as well as a wealth of knowledge in caring for our furry four-legged companions. All of our rescues will be fully vetted, combo tested for FIV and Felv and fecal checked prior to any adoption. Additionally, all of our kitties will either be altered or a prepaid spay/neuter certificate will be required to those kittens not yet able to be altered.

About Us and Our Mission: Mid-Michigan Cat Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, non-state and non-federally funded, 501.C(3) volunteer based organization that depends solely on donations from the general public and fundraisers in the Mid-Michigan area. We are dedicated to finding lifetime homes for abused, abandoned, neglected or owner surrendered cats and kittens. All rescued cats or kittens are temporarily fostered in our homes (not a shelter) until a qualified, responsible applicant can be matched to each individual cat and permanently adopted. We maintain the highest standards of comprehensive veterinary care which, includes but is not limited to: sterilizing all cats, immunizations, FIV/FeLV testing and parasite control. We are a non-euthanasia organization (except when injury, disease or temperament makes other options impossible) and do not sell to research facilities. MMCR maintains a feral colony of over 60 cats and we practice trap, neuter and release whenever possible. MMCR also aids the general public with low cost spay and neuter. We assist in public education about the importance of sterilization to reduce over-population and the humane treatment of domestic animals. We accept personal, lifetime responsibility for any animal that has been in our care and make every attempt to adopt healthy, well socialized and mentally sound cats and kittens. We keep the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in care including love, tenderness, dignity and compassion for our foster cats. We are a dedicated and responsible group of volunteers with many years of in home foster care experience that are motivated and focused on cat and kitten rescue.
