Crest-Care, Inc a 501c3 Corporation We are a group of individuals living across the United States and Canada, whose goals are to preserve and protect Chinese Cresteds in need. We provide vetting, transportation, and foster homes for each dog in need, until he or she can be carefully matched to an approved home. We provide education about the breed to private individuals interested in adopting, and to shelters as well, in an effort to help ensure the integrity of the breed as a whole. We are involved in Crest-Care, Inc. for no other reason than our concern for Chinese Cresteds in need. We realize our limitations in that we cannot save them all, but working together, we help those we can. We work within the framework of local and civil laws, in order to protect both dogs and all parties concerned.

Shepherds' Hope Rescue was formed by two independent rescuers who forged an alliance to more effectively help our beloved breed. We are disturbed by the alarming increase of German Shepherd Dogs in the country's animal shelters and in neglectful situations. We are not a shelter nor do we have our own facility. As volunteers, we house our rescue dogs either in our own homes, foster homes if available, or board them with dog sitters or kennels until placed with their new families.

Zani's Furry Friends

NYC
New York

info@zanisfurryfriends.org
Zani's Furry Friends is an organization committed to rescuing companion animals from New York City's shelters where, unfortunately, they are at risk for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Each dog or cat (or bunny) rescued from a shelter opens a cage and gives an opportunity to another pet to await a chance for adoption or rescue, thereby potentially saving yet another life. Although we are not always sure of the pedigree or background of each animal, those we place are generally well socialized family pets who came to the shelter through no fault of their own. We rescue kittens, puppies and bunnies as well as adult animals who deserve another chance for a loving home. We do not have a shelter or boarding facility, but instead rely upon foster homes to shelter and nurture our furry friends until a loving forever home is found. Our dogs and cats are all up to date with vaccines, and spayed or neutered. Dogs are microchipped and heartworm negative and cats have tested negative for FIV (if old enough) and FeLV. Please look at our list of adoptables, and if you don't find one that seems right for you, or if you see one that is already flagged as adopted, please contact us at ggmcs@juno.com to let us know what you are looking for; perhaps we can help find the perfect match. We continually rescue new animals and will keep in mind specific requests from good homes. Zani's Furry Friends is a volunteer organization which receives no funding or sponsorship. We depend on the generosity of those who are willing to donate time, supplies and money--and we are always in need of additional foster homes for either dogs or cats so that we may help free more animals from a dark fate at the shelter. Unfortunately our city's shelters face a continual space problem, and dozens of healthy, adoptable animals lose the race of time daily. If you are interested in opening your home and heart to foster one or more of our rescues, making a donation, or assisting with the myriad of details and chores that is involved in saving these precious lives, please contact us at ggmcs@juno.com for more information. We look forward to working with you.

We are an IRC 501 (c)3 public charity, whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome companion animals whose welfare is otherwise at risk. We "specialize" in what some people call "special needs," while we consider the pets simply special--cats with only 3 legs, cats with a neurological condition that affects balance and coordination, dogs to be euthanized because of a remediable condition (broken leg, for instance), cats with contagious conditions who simply need treatment, etc. We rescue primarily from the NYCACC, the NYC shelter system, which has an obligation to receive every animal that crosses its threshold, and thus is overwhelmed with strays, owner surrenders, cruelty and eviction seizures, and more. We treat all treatable conditions, and find homes. We are all volunteers--no one is compensated for her or his time or efforts or skill--and we do it because of a profound love and respect for the animals.
