We are a local group of volunteers that welcome kittens into our homes and care for them until they can find their furever homes. We service our local community and provide outreach whenever possible.

We are the largest municipality in the country in terms of square footage covered. We specialize in the care and adoption of cats and dogs. Our dog population is predominantly bully breeds. We have many different programs to promote adoptions and to assist the public in responsible pet owner ship, care, and getting involved.

We began as a sanctuary for special needs cats. We offer holistic care as well as traditional veterinary care. Generally, our cats are not adoptable due to advanced age, medical conditions or (temporary) behavioral issues. Those who are find loving homes!

Hopkins Cat Rescue is a shelter/adoption center dedicated to helping cats and kittens from all backgrounds. Whether found outside, surrendered by an owner, or born at our facility our mission is to save as many cats as possible and find them their forever homes. Founded by a Veterinarian who has made it her life’s work to help animals of all sizes, this rescue is medically educated, compassionate and determined to make a difference in our community and the lives of the cats in our shelter.

Furever Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3, no-kill animal rescue dedicated to providing a better life for homeless animals through adoptions, foster care, community programs and events.

Puppy Kitty NYCity (PKNYC) was started by Suzy in the Fall of 2014. Over the next four years, she attracted like-minded individuals and PuppyKittyNYCity grew into what we are today. In June 2018, we officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. PKNYC is an all-volunteer rescue group. Our core team running the rescue is comprised of six dedicated women; this group extends from New York to California!

Rottie Empire Rescue is a non- profit animal rescue based out of upstate NY. Our mission is to rescue and rehome dogs in forever homes, and to avoid the need for rehoming in the future by promoting responsible pet ownership. We seek to educate the public on issues facing companion domestic animals through articles, public awareness and events to promote humane treatment of animals, including the responsibilities and duties of ownership of Rottweilers and other “bully” breeds. We encourage and facilitate proper veterinary care including vaccinations, spaying and neutering. Our Rescue is guided by and supports the principle that all companion domestic animals should have good homes and proper medical care. While our focus is to rescue and rehome Rottweilers and other “bully” breeds, we help all kinds of dogs and also cats. We are an all-volunteer program, with no shelter; all of our dogs are in foster homes while awaiting permanent adoptive homes to properly screened families and individuals. If you would like to meet any of our adoptable dogs a meeting can be arranged. We also have adoption clinics twice a month at Bensons Pet Center in Clifton Park, NY. Many of our dogs attend the clinics but if you are looking to meet a specific dog please message us or email us. Adoption applications are available at rottieempirerescue.com. WE GO BIG, SO THEY GO HOME. Going BIG means that our fosters and volunteers always show up in a big way and are incredibly hands-on, passionate, and dedicated, whether they are volunteering remotely, at our kennel, or at our adoption events. Our mission is to rescue animals in need and help create a world where the kind and rewarding experience of adoption is the standard. We strive to both save as many lives as possible and build awareness to the plight of shelter animals in need, cultivating the natural connection between man and his best friend. We do this through tireless passion, commitment, and advocacy. Ruff House Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) non profit rescue organization in Nassau County, Long Island NY. We are a foster-based network of animal lovers who seek to save as many lives as possible, as fast as we can. As a largely volunteer-based organization, we depend on the generosity of our Ruff House family to do this life changing work.

TNR Utopia is a small, no-kill, all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue with a focus on the trap, neuter, and return (TNR) of community cats in northern Queens, NYC. We also educate the public about living with community cats. Of course, when dealing with community cats, we often encounter kittens who are small enough to be socialize and adopted into forever homes. We are a small group of volunteers and dedicated animal lovers who spend our spare time sterilizing community cats and rescuing friendly cats and kittens. Although small, we do our best to help all that contact us. We are TNR certified through the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, NYC Feral Cat Initiative in partnership with the ASPCA.

It is our belief that every stray is worthy, it is our goal to help them live the best life possible. Our services are geared toward stray animals in the community. We vet them, social them and place for adoption. In the case of truly feral cats, we do Trap, Neuter and Return. (Any friendly cats are placed for adoption)
