Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love was started by a group of volunteers dedicated to saving Danes and other dogs, especially one’s that may be passed up by other rescues due to special needs. We are an extension of Ruff Love Rescue, a 501 c (3) non profit based in Thomasville NC. Great Dane Friends helps people to: * Determine the right breed for their lifestyle. * Find healthy, compatible dogs who fit their wants and needs. * Find new homes for dogs whose families can no longer keep them. * Provide all necessary medical care to return the Dane to good health.

"F.U.R.R. has rescued & helped hundreds of cats that were in dire need and had no humans to turn to. These include injured cats, sick cats, feral cats, cats whose owners had died without making arrangements for their pets, abandoned cats that were left when their owners moved, homeless mom cats with kittens, homeless kittens whose mom cat had died…the list goes on and on. Basically they are mostly homeless and unwanted cats that would have been euthanized in a shelter, died on the streets from an illness or accident, or continued to reproduce and add to the cat overpopulation problem. "Not only has F.U.R.R. helped the cats, but we've also helped many people in our community, people who have feral or stray cat overpopulation problems and can’t afford to spay or neuter, or get medical help for injured or sick cats they’ve found. "Equally important is many, many F.U.R.R. rescued kitties have been adopted and are now safe and loved!

Surry Animal Rescue is a NC certified non-profit volunteer organization. We operate solely on donations from adoptions and other resources. We rescue animals from abuse, neglect, owner surrender and euthanasia. How We Help Provide safe care in foster homes until loving, permanent homes can be found for our rescued animals. Make sure each animal under our care is current on his/her vaccines and is spayed or neutered (age appropriate). Provide a thorough adoption application screening process to ensure an ideal match for pet and family We (SAR) do this because animals tend to be forgotten about. Our job is to work with helpless animals to find great forever homes and have the satisfaction that come with that.

We are a non-profit 501c3, volunteer organization. We do all breed dog rescue from kill shelters. We all do whatever we can just because we love dogs.

I am a certified AKC CGC evaluator, dog trainer and Behavior Modification Specialist. I just got released from Active Duty Marine Corps. I rescue Mastiff breeds in the area from mostly Military families who have gotten one of these Gentle Giants without the full understanding of how much time, care and training goes into these dogs. Some have been abused in the past so we go through positive reinforcement training to make them come out of their shell, I do this mainly to prevent the dogs going into a kill shelter or ending up in the wrong hands.

We rescue dogs that otherwise have no hope of survival. By rehabilitating and placing these animals in loving homes, we strive towards educating the public in a variety of ways as well as uniting new companions, people and animals alike.
