Two Paws Up NC Shelter Rescue

PO Box 37790
Raleigh
North Carolina

adoptions2pawsup@gmail.com
Who We Are: 2PawsUp started in early 2007 when a small group of volunteers began helping to transport animals from the Harnett County Animal Control Facility to people who wanted to adopt but could not make it to the shelter themselves. After months of this service, we expanded our services to a full adoption agency. We are now a recognized non-profit, 501c3 organization in the state of North Carolina. We are a devoted team of animal-loving philanthropists with a desire to make a difference in the North Carolina community. Our Mission: 2PawsUp's mission is to save animals on death row in high kill shelters; provide any needed medical care; and find loving, safe forever homes for each and every animal. 2PawsUp also seeks to raise the awareness of overpopulation and high euthanasia rates in North Carolina, and to help stop the endless cycle of animals ending up in shelters by spaying and neutering every animal that comes through the 2PawsUp program. Why We Are Different: As a future pet owner, you are probably looking for an adoption agency that is right for you. Each rescue group should have something that appeals to different groups of people, so everyone can find their future pet. This is what makes us different from other rescue organizations: ·· Our main focus is shelter pets. Most rescue groups focus on stray animals before they end up in the shelter. We try to help as many animals that are in imminent danger of being put down. We do accept animals from elsewhere as well, but high-kill shelters are our main focus. ·· Our adoption fees vary between animals, as we try to keep our adoption fees as low as possible. We do not charge you for something we did not provide. For example, if a dog came into the shelter already neutered, the cost of that neuter will NOT be included in his adoption fee. For more information about our adoptions, the feed, and the typical process please view our Adoption page.

Tailless Cat Rescue

North Carolina
27298
taillesscatrescue@hotmail.com
Dedicated to finding exceptional homes for exceptional cats Specializing in Manx, but we'll accept Japanese or American Bobtails and Pixie-bobs In 1995 my neighbor's Manx cat had kittens. There was a tiny runt in the litter that wasn't expected to survive. I was there when the kittens were born, and I volunteered to provide a home for the runt if she made it. That was Misty, and the beginning of my love for the Manx breed. After several years of rescuing Manx and other tailless cats through all breed rescues, in 2006 I decided to start my own rescue and TCR was born. TCR is run entirely out of foster homes. So the number of cats we can take at a time is limited to the space we have. We also have to respect NC law which limits the number of animals that can be fostered at a time. And we will only have as many cats as we can afford to care for at one time. TCR is all about the cats. The rescue is based on the highest standards of honesty, ethics, and care for the cats in our program. Our motto is "Dedicated to finding exceptional homes for exceptional cats". And Manx and other tailless breeds really have exceptional personalities and deserve the best homes possible. Most of the cats come from animal shelters or pounds where they have run out of time and are going to be euthanized. We generally don't take owner surrendered cats. We believe that once you make a commitment to a cat, it should be for a lifetime. We will assist owners in how to find homes for their cats if they can no longer keep them, and will provide access to expert advice on solving behavioral or health problems so that it is more likely they can stay in their homes.

Doxie Acre was founded Jan 2003 Doxie Acre rescues dachshunds and dachshund mixes that have no where else to go. All of the dogs taken in will be completely vetted which includes spay/neuter, shots, hw tests, dental and anything else our vet recommends. We will spare no expense to save the life of the dog taken into our care. Once the dog has been released from our vet and any issues the dog may have had have been addressed he is then ready for adoption. We then find the dog the best home through the application process.Any dog that we adopt always can come back to our rescue of needed. We got our first Dachshund 14 years ago and it was love at first sight. Like most people we were surprised to find out that even a little dog like a dachshund gets dumped. The more we talked to people and researched we realized the need to try and save the ones we can.

Alley Cats and Angels is an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3), foster home-based cat rescue organization located in the Triangle, NC area. Alley Cats and Angels takes a multi-faceted approach to cat rescue and welfare. It starts with our feral cat education, assistance, and TNR program, where we assist with the TNR of feral cats and take in kittens and friendly cats from feral colonies. After socializing and vetting them, they are put up for adoption through our adoption program. There is also the barn/garden cat program that relocates high-risk feral cats to safe barns for a second chance at life. And finally our Alter an Alley Cat spay/neuter assistance program provides low-cost spay/neuter for pet cats, stray cats, and feral cats whose owners/caregivers cannot afford the cost of spay/neuter. Alley Cats and Angels:  Rescues stray and abandoned cats and kittens, and young kittens from feral colonies; socializes the cats in a foster home environment, fully vets the cats; and then finds loving, permanent, and safe homes for the cats  Brings attention to the plight of feral cats and helps alleviate the problem of overpopulation in our area by sponsoring spay/neuter surgeries for cats from low-income/hardship families facilitate zero growth in street/feral colonies by sponsoring spay/neuter surgeries for feral cats  Relocates at-risk feral cats into safe barn/garden homes so they are no longer in danger and have a second chance at life  Educates the public about pet overpopulation and promotes spay/neuter  Is an Advocate for Forgotten Felines

Pug Rescue of North Carolina, Inc.

cathleen@pugrescuenc.org(336) 312-2983
Pug Rescue of North Carolina (PRONC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the Pug Dog Breed. We rescue pugs in crisis, carefully nursing them back to health, physically and emotionally, in individual PRONC volunteer’s homes. Each pug is treated as family until such time as a suitable home, which has been screened and approved by the membership, can be located. Many pugs come to PRONC with minor to severe health challenges. We make every effort to save each animal that comes into our care, saving euthanization for only the extreme, and very rare case where there is no other reasonable option. We have every pug evaluated by a veterinarian and they are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, micro-chipped and brought up to date on all vaccinations. At this time, due to limited resources, we are only accepting pure bred pugs. However, we rescue pugs of any age or health. Our ability to accept an animal is limited to available space and funding. Thanks to you, we have saved many pugs from being put down at overcrowded animal shelters. PRONC has no paid employees and is supported through your kind gift donations and through the wonderful efforts of our family of volunteers. As you can imagine, meeting the needs of so many homeless, neglected and abused animals, is a financial challenge. Won't you consider making your tax deductible donation today? You will feel great knowing that you brought some light into a little dog’s life who will then go on to bring happiness into someone’s home. If you love the pug breed and would like to join us in opening your heart and home to foster pugs in need, we would love to hear from you. We need kind hearted and dedicated volunteers in the Carolinas and surrounding states. We are a publicly supported organization described in sections 170 (b) (1) (A) (vi) of the IRS code We are a 501 ( 3 ) (c) nonprofit organization, and your donations are tax deductible

Project Racing Home is a non profit organization that was founded six years ago. During that time we have placed over 900 greyhounds into loving homes. Our motto is, "the right hound in the right home with the right family." We work specifically with retired racing greyhounds, finding homes for these wonderful animals once they have finished their racing careers. Our kennel facility can house up to 48 dogs, all of which are personality profiled (cat safe, kid friendly, confident, shy, etc.).
