Lee Shore is a collective of women with a shared passion for animals. The rescue was founded in 2017 by Paulina Putnam and Alison Shanahan, who had each worked in rescue for a number of years and recognized a need for a rescue that served animals who couldn't be adopted right away. These animals were pregnant, too young, or in need of physical or psychological rehabilitation. Both Paulina and Alison had her own unique talents. Paulina had successfully rehabilitated many dogs when others had pronounced the case impossible. Alison had a passion for the mothers and babies. They started Lee Shore with these distinct goals in mind: to bring in those rehab, maternity, and pediatric cases who aren't ready for adoption now, but who can be made ready for life as a companion with the right care. ​This remains our mission. In the three years since our founding, we have saved over four hundred animals, and we hope to continue to grow and fight for the voiceless.

We are an all volunteer group who's mission is to reduce the numbers of animals euthanized in our area shelters through aggressive adoption and spay/neuter programs. We partner with area shelters, to concentrate on the cats and dogs that have run out of time or have special needs. We move them to a safe haven with private citizens, strive to provide them with any veterinary care they need, and then we find them loving homes. Since 2004, over 11,000 of these previously unwanted animals found their forever homes through our safety net. When one of ours gets adopted, we go and get another.

Woof Meow Rescue is a 501(c)(3) foster-based, volunteer community that strives to better the lives of homeless pets by providing housing, training, medical care, and home settings for minimized stress levels while they are waiting for their forever homes. In the process, we hope to help relieve local shelters that may dealing with over population, long lengths of stay, and medical or behavioral needs beyond their capabilities. ​ Woof Meow Rescue is determined to provide the animals in our care with proper placement and provides post-adoption support for all adopters.

Our Mission: We are a no kill, animal rescue dedicated to providing dogs in need another chance through rehabilitation and rehoming. No dog should ever walk alone. We are a small, foster home based, non-profit, animal rescue located in the Triad of North Carolina. Tiddley’s Legacy is the culmination of a dream by a group of people who have many years working in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of pets. We are dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted, abused and homeless animals.

I am the director of the rescue and love cats. There are so many that need help. I knew I could make a difference so I founded this rescue. So far, we have adopted 300 cats since August 2017

We're located in a national forest. It's very secluded - a full mile to any neighbor. People we're dumping unwanted dogs in the woods nearby. Mom and I were helping the dogs and the effort just grew.

Through grassroots efforts, we envision a future in which all companion animals find loving homes where they are able to receive the care and respect they deserve. Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville is a foster based group of pet lovers that are committed to the welfare of pets and their humans. We are the only shelter in our county, but we are a private, non-profit 501c3 shelter.

Piedmont Animal Rescue exists to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome as many lost and unwanted pets in the piedmont of North Carolina.

We have been an organization for over 30 years now. We just recently built a new shelter in May of 2016. We were in a run down building that had cracks, holes, mice and bugs. We have come far from that and have a much better facility to house the animals in a safe and comfortable environment. We are here to save more lives and to educate the community on animal welfare and animal care.
