Animal Control of Dickson TN does not have an adoption program. Last Chance Pet Rescue LLC is a private rescue. If someone wants to adopt an animal, animal control will release it to Last Chance and we will perform the adoption/spay/neuter, vaccs.

The Warren County Tennessee Humane Society has been helping abused, neglected and unwanted animals since 1979. We have helped over one hundred dogs just since Christmas 2009, but the humane society has helped thousands of animals over the years. We have rescued dogs from the Animal Control facility, from owners surrendering their dogs, from dogs that were dumped and lost and from those that are abused and neglected. Our rescued dogs and cats go to great homes here in Tennessee and across the country. We give them their vaccinations, have them spayed or neutered, and in the case of out of state rescues we transport them to their new homes. These dogs and cats are now in their new forever homes where they are enjoying life going from certain death to living a life full of love.

The Tennessee Humane Animal League is a 501(c)3 organization devoted to the placement of homeless or surrendered animals through The Pet Placement Center (PPC). The PPC survives entirely on donations and fundraising activities. We are the oldest no-kill animal adoption center in Hamilton County. The PPC is a private adoption center and does not do animal control or do animal pick ups. Once an animal comes to the Pet Placement Center it will remain safe with us until it is adopted into a responsible permanent home. Our mission is to reduce animal suffering by promoting intelligent animal care through education and example, to find responsible homes for lost or abandoned animals or for those pets whose owners can no longer keep them, to promote spaying or neutering of dogs and cats in order to reduce and control the millions of unnecessary and unwanted animal births, and to emphasize responsible guardianship which includes proper and decent feeding, available water, shelter, necessary shots and exercise.

Pet Matchmaker South is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization that rescues homeless and unwanted dogs from high kill shelters and abusive and neglectful situations in the southern United States.

Heartland Golden Retriever Rescue, established in August 1998, is a 501(c)3 organization formed: to provide shelter for homeless, stray, abandoned, abused, and neglected Golden Retrievers; to provide a good quality of life for homeless Golden Retrievers; to provide through adoption permanent loving homes for Golden Retrievers; to seek to reduce the numbers of unwanted Golden Retrievers through rehabilitation and adoption; to educate dog owners and the general public about responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering, training and humane care of Golden Retrievers and other pets.

Our organization is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit, formed in 1996 to help save adoptable dogs and cats from euthanization at the Oak Ridge Animal Shelter. We specialize in mixed breeds. Our shelter is often filled with very adoptable animals that must die because of space limitations, and we are devoted to giving a second chance to as many as we can. We house our animals in foster homes or boarding kennels for as long as it takes to find them permanent homes. We participate in numerous community events to promote our animals and the concept of adoption/rescue.

To save the lives of homeless, sick and injured cats and kittens, and achieving this goal by compassionately rescuing, providing shelter, fostering, adopting and providing hospice and veterinary services, in order to end needless feline euthanasia in our community, with the ultimate objective of having every cat or kitten being wanted and loved.

We are the Waverly Animal Shelter. We are employed by the City Of Waverly. We take in unwanted, lost, and abandoned animals from Humphreys County and try to find them homes. We work with the Humphreys County Humane Society, and the local vetrinarians, to get the medical care the animals need. We NEED numerous volunteers and donations to help make the animals stay at the shelter comfortable, and enjoyable. If you have a little time you could spare and would like to help, please stop by and pet a pup, or cuddle a kitty. Each of us can make a difference for one animal at a time.

The Blount County Humane Society is a Grass Roots, Citizen Based, Non-Profit 501(c)3 "Animal Protection Organization" in the truest & longest traditions of the movement. We believe that Animal Protection stands for the preservation of animal life, not the ending of it. Our goal is to make Blount County a No Kill Community by building a Safe Shelter that saves our dogs and cats by following the No Kill Philosophy, not a "shelter" that rounds them up and kills them.
