We are a 501c3 organization formed in 2002. We rescue abandoned and neglected dogs, and owner surrenders on a case-by-case basis. We work with owners to try and keep their dogs in the home by assisting with behavior problems and medical issues on a case-by-case basis. Our dogs are fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, fecal tested, spayed and neutered, and microchipped. Any necessary surgeries or heartworm treatments are performed.

For every life there is a legacy. In many instances the legacy passed down is not as it should be and requires help from caring souls to be fulfilled. It is our belief that all Boxers should have a legacy befitting of their wonderful enthusiasm and love of life, but sadly, this isn't always the case. We, the founder and volunteers of Legacy Boxer Rescue, have made it our mission to seek out these Boxers and create a legacy they deserve, a loving family and home of their own. We firmly believe that a Boxer's future should never be uncertain, so we will help to create better, happier legacies for them; one Boxer at a time. A legacy that replaces despair with hope, sorrow with happiness, fear with security, and pain with love.

I am a volunteer at the shelter and also a volunteer team leader for MCAS marketing. I have helped in many ways: foster, adopter, coordinator for off-site adoptions, assist with rescues, dog walker, computer input, lost dog walk-thru, help to adopt to families. I do it because I don't think we should be killing adoptable animals and I know I can make a difference.
