Hello, I first became interested in saving dogs when I learned about euthanasia practices at the shelters. That was 2012. I started saving dogs then from shelters, bringing them home, getting them medical treatment, and later doing pet adoptions at Petco in Denton for about a year, with another rescue. Now I have a small independent rescue at my home. My husband and I do all the work and fund it all. We are set up for inside and outside areas for the dogs. We started out with the bully breeds but we are not breed specific and currently also have some littles for adoption. I do it because I can't stand to see suffering dogs, and I help whenever I can. So many are thrown away. I do what I can to make their lives better.

Our Mission LAPS will provide shelter for homeless, adoptable dogs and cats in Laredo and Webb County until they can be successfully adopted into permanent homes; address the dog and cat overpopulation crisis by helping to provide affordable spay/neuter services to the community; and, working to eliminate animal cruelty and neglect through education.

Beaumont Pets Alive was formed in 2018 to help the City of Beaumot become a no kill city. We accomplished that by the end of 2018 and have continued to help the City Shelter by pulling at risk animals from their euthanasia lists. We also pull from other local city shelters.

Texas Round Up Animal Alliance is a 501c3 Non-Profit Dog Rescue, located in Center Point, TX. Our sole purpose is rescuing dogs that are at high risk of euthanasia, surrendered and abandoned. We are a small facility where we house up to 20-25 dogs at a time. The dogs that come into our care get one on one attention, vet care, fully vaccinated and trained. Our goal is to provide these neglected dogs with a second chance at life. We learn all about them, their personalities, behaviors, wants and needs. Once they are fully vetted they become available for adoption. We search for the best fit family for each and every one of them!

We are a 501c3 nonprofit rescue farm that also help other kinds of animals when we can.

A groupd of us in March got tired of the dismal state of our local shelter. We banded together to make change. Once we saw cross-section of the level of people in our group, we formed 501c3 and have had members placed on a city board as well. We do this for our love of the animals, and that no amimal should ever suffer, be adbused or discarded.

Our president started as the Volunteer Rescue Coordinator at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, Weatherford, Tx. We recently started Weatherford Wags, a 501c3 non profit rescue. We are a foster-home based rescue, focused on saving urgent dogs at local shelters. We also attempt to help strays and unwanted dogs in order to keep them out of shelters and to get them into loving homes. We do not have a facility. To be effective in saving a dog's life, we depend on the community to step up and offer their homes to temporarily foster a dog until it's adopted or goes on transport to be adopted elsewhere. So many dogs that are at risk at the shelters are great dogs, that just need a chance to prove it, and not be euthanized for space at the shelter. We find foster homes for the dogs, provide needed medical attention, help with food, and then market the dogs. We then screen and approve potential adopters, and provide help with integrating a new dog into their home. We do it for the love of dogs, knowing that just because a dog happens to be in the shelter, it is not a bad dog.

I am a cat lover and have done significant efforts to improve the life of those cats that crossed my path. I have recently started a DBA to facilitate adoption process of my current foster cats. I have done TNR over an area of Spring Branch (zip code 77080) for about 8 years now. I funded myself or with help of local charities such (CAP, Best Friends etc.). It was sad to return the cats after TNR knowing that they may not have any meal, so I became colony manager (Feeding and TNR) of a colony of 45 stray cats over the same area for about 7 years. Some of the cats that I daily feed are young and friendly, so I enroll them for adoption with local rescue groups when they have capacity. With their help, I have been able to find homes for about 60 friendly cats and young kittens. I fostered them and in many cases covered the vetting to enroll them in adoption programs of HOPE rescue, Save A Purrfect Cat Rescue, Houston Cares Animal Rescue among others. I feel like I have learned about rescue, fostering and adoption process for the last 6 years and could continue serving the community independently. I learned about your Adoption Portal functionality by volunteering with HOPE rescue. I really like the fact that you could post pets for adoption on multiple sites, that is a fantastic marketing option. It is my dream being able post my current foster cats stories (see my instagram site "Adoptable_Cats_Houston for your reference) and find them forever homes.
