Arcadia Animal Rescue

South Carolina

Arcadia Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization dedicated to alleviating the suffering of abused and abandoned animals. At Arcadia, animals are valued and the human-animal bond is celebrated. Our vision is a modern-day “Arcadia” or Utopia for all animals. While we know this is an ambitious goal, it is one we will tirelessly strive for. No animal should be euthanized to save space, because it is unwanted, or because of the inconvenience of care.

Here is my about me page: More than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry has led Karen to where she is today. As a young girl, Karen volunteered in animal shelters in eastern Pennsylvania. Her instincts as a natural healer led her to a medical career upon completing a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree at West Chester University. Karen worked full time as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and continued her education in holistic medicine over the last 20 years. She now works with clients in their homes and remotely, using animal communication and energy healing. She offers solutions to health issues, behavior issues, stress, anxiety, and end of life transitions. Most of these are treated with various energy healing modalities. Karen is passionate about helping to heal animals in shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue organizations. Today Karen continues to volunteer with the local rescue organization, Florida Keys SPCA in Marathon, Florida. While she has been involved with FKSPCA since 2003, she took on a more personal role in 2014 when she began implementing the use of calming music, and the diffusing of therapeutic-grade essential oils. This has helped to promote relaxation and healing in the indoor kennel areas by calming the dogs’ nervous systems. In addition to establishing Payton’s Promise Sanctuary, Karen is also a Best Selling Author, Healing Touch for Animals Practitioner, and Intuitive Healer. She graduated from Communication with all Life University, where she fine-tuned her skills in animal communication and energy medicine. Karen lives in South Florida with the loves of her life, her dogs.

CrisisDogsNC

CrisisDogsNC is a foster-based, 501 (c) (3) non-profit founded in 2017 by journalist and author Judith Reitman Texier whose investigative articles garnered international awards and prompted changes in animal welfare laws. She created the Organization in response to North Carolina’s euthanasia rate which is among the highest in the country and to many of its shelters’ methods of euthanasia that are so inhumane they are outlawed in most other states. We rescue dogs from kill shelters, substandard backyard breeders, hoarders, and from chains. We provide full medical care, foster homes, and transport by land and air through our partnership with PilotsNPaws to fully screened and qualified adopters all along the East Coast. What distinguishes us from other rescues is our focus on the relationship between the rescued dog and the new family. By understanding your lifestyle and expectations, as well as the personalities of our rescue dogs, we can make a compatible match for a lifelong bond. We are in it for the life of the dog. At any point after adoption, if the adopter's situation changes for whatever reason, we will always accept the dog back into the rescue.

Nirvana Animal Rescue

PO Box 291
Shermans Dale
Pennsylvania
17090
info@nirvanaanimalrescue.org
Nirvana Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization committed to providing sanctuary to homeless, neglected, and abused animals. We rescue companion animals who are left behind, forgotten, neglected, thrown away, or abused and provide them with their own nirvana, free from suffering and pain. All our animals are behaviorally assessed and many receive professional training prior to being placed in their forever homes. Our emphasis is on the quality, not quantity, of animals placed to ensure successful, lifelong adoptions. Nirvana Animal Rescue was founded to ensure no animal is left behind. All animals, regardless of age, size, medical or behavioral need are welcome to find their own slice of heaven at Nirvana Animal Rescue. The number of animals who are adopted, rather than bred and bought, is increasing, while the number of adoptable pets who are euthanized in shelters is decreasing. Unfortunately, these statistics leave out the animals who are being left behind - the seniors, animals with medical needs, and animals with behavioral considerations. These animals are the focus of Nirvana Animal Rescue. The animals who are left behind, forgotten, neglected, thrown away, and abused are allowed to experience their own nirvana, free from suffering and pain, at the rescue.
