We are a group of friends and long time rescuers, working together for years. We have seen both the good & bad in rescue and have decided to band together to capitalize on the good and work for ONLY the well being of the dogs, not the glory. While we are an ALL dog rescue, our hearts are still with our pitties! We aim to save dogs not only from kill shelters but rescue them from the abusive, neglectful & horrid situations our precious pups find themselves in way too often. We will never turn our back on a dog in need!

We are an all-volunteer, all-breed rescue located in the Indianapolis area. We do not have a shelter facility, so all animals are cared for in foster care until adopted. We primarily pull dogs and cats from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control, which is the municipal shelter in Indianapolis. We specialize in pulling dogs who are seriously injured or ill. We also take many senior animals. We also have a feral cat sanctuary at the home of our director. Since we take many senior, sick and injured dogs, our average veterinary cost per animal in 2014 was approximately $500. We saved approximately 250 animals, with vet costs of over $120,000, funded through donations. We truly believe every animal counts, and have been fortunate to grow our organization to help the ones who have the least amount of time to get out of the shelter; the sick and injured. We believe if an animal has a potential to still have a good quality of life, they deserve a chance.

To rescue, save and promote the adoption of animals, and to provide support and education to the community regarding animal rescue and adoption.

Help A Dog Smile (HADS as we fondly call it) is a 501(c)3 non-profit Arizona corporation. We find loving homes for stray dogs and dogs on euthanasia lists at kill shelters throughout the state. At this time we do not take owner turn ins. We are simply too small and do not have the resources. Once we determine that the animal has no owner (if it is a stray) we place the dog in a boarding facility or foster home where the dog can receive the tender loving care he or she desperately needs. This always requires a veterinary check up, vaccinations, and usually a spay or neuter surgery. Once the animal is healthy, we seek a loving home where he or she can live out their life in happiness.

The purpose of Jackson County Happy Tails is to take in strays and owner-relinquished pets, and to rescue adoptable dogs from the local pound. Once they have been evaluated and deemed adoptable, we will strive to give them quality care until they are adopted out. We will also provide education for the community to increase responsible pet ownership.

ACAC is a small rural shelter adopting out animals. We provide services such as adoption, owner support, education etc.

We have been inspected by the Department of Agriculture and approved as an animal care facility. One of our goals is to help homeless animals become a part of loving families forever. Another is to make sure that all animals adopted from us are spayed/ neutered to decrease animal over- population. We also help speak out for animals against their mistreatment. Our pets are kept in foster homes so that they become accustomed to living in a home and receive the training and attention they need until finding their forever homes. Demi's Animal Rescue was started by Demi Merritt when she was 14 years old. She is now about 19 years old and pushing Demi's Animal Rescue harder than ever. She has a strong passion for moving Colorado closer to no kill. She likes to focus on the more difficult animals and fully rehabilitate them both physically and emotionally before placement.

P.A.W.S. (Precious Animal Welfare Society) of Michigan is a 501 (c) (3), all-volunteer group that promotes the humane, compassionate, and responsible treatment of all animals. In Our Hands Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies entirely on volunteers to ameliorate the plight of abandoned, sick, injured, or neglected animals in New York City; to promote and require spay and neuter as a means of controlling the tragic pet population problem, and to offer refuge, whenever possible, to the neediest animals, wherever they may be. Over the past several years, In Our Hands Rescue has helped hundreds of animals find their forever homes with loving families in the New York area. The organization relies entirely on donations and volunteers. We have no paid staff and no outside funding. In Our Hands Rescue rescues dogs and cats from shelters in the New York area as well as from other parts of the United States. Many rescued animals come from southern states because of significant overcrowding, extremely high euthanasia rates, and poor spay/neuter programs in certain areas of Georgia, Kentucky and Florida. The organization is dedicated to helping poor, abandoned and often neglected and abused animals, regardless of their origin.

VRHS formed in 1969 to provide rescue services for stray animals in Cherokee and Clay Counties, NC. We try to provide humane services for stray and unwanted animals. We are the only Shelter in 3 counties.
