Rescue Adoption Inc.

WHAT WE DO: As our name Rescue Adoption name states, we have a two part process: We start with the RESCUE process by saving dogs that have been already scheduled on PTS (Put To Sleep) lists, by placing a "Rescue Hold" on as many dogs as we can and as often as we can, subsequently we send one of our Rescue Vans to pick them up, bring them to our shelter where they will be provided with any medical attention needed in a home like environment, properly fed & housed, bathed & rid of parasites, socialized with other dogs & people, they will be spayed/neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated and finally get ready for adoption. Our ADOPTION process starts by featuring & introducing our doggies for adoption on our Website, word of mouth, Social Media & the internet; then we use one of our Rescue Vans to bring our doggies to adoption events where you can meet them in person. We literally bring them from death row to the comfort of a home. "Every time we adopt a dog we are able to save another one; this is why we go above and beyond by transporting the dogs and bringing them to potential adopters; we are always in a race against time to be able to save one more life" Dagmara Monsalve HOW WE ARE FUNDED: We don't receive government grants, receive any local tax-payer assistance, have Donald Trump or any rich investors funding our cause; our organization is over 90% self-funded by our deep desire to adopt dogs, we have adoption fees that allow us to provide the needed transportation costs, veterinary costs, surgeries, medicines & treatments, shelter operational costs, a clean environment, rent...etc (unfortunately too many to list them entirely). Less than 10% of our funding comes from private donations and charitable organizations. Our Dogs and Pups are Ready and Willing to Serve our Community Our "Paws In Action" program was created with the purpose of our Rescued Dogs, to serve our communities by bringing a smile and happiness to those in need, become ambassadors to the plight of other abused and neglected dogs, create a sense of awareness in the increasing problem of dog overpopulation and re-iterate the importance of Responsible Ownership. Our "Paws In Action" Doggies Are Eager to Visit: Children's Hospitals, Schools, Hospice, Retirement Homes,Hospitals or 501 c 3 Non-Profit Organizations.

Our mission is to rescue dogs and cats from animal shelters that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training. We are dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership. WE DO NOT ACCEPT STRAYS History Pet Pal Animal Shelter, formerly known as Pet Pal Rescue, was founded in the early 1980′s by two women when they realized the high number of animals that were being euthanized due to pet overpopulation and neglect. Driven by their desire to make a difference, they began taking animals from shelters, and finding permanent homes for them. By 1988, they organized Pet Pal Rescue as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Pet Pal Rescue was located in the Orlando area until August 2002. when it moved to Pinellas County, under the supervision of former director, Jennifer Forlizzo McCraw who oversaw the construction the actual shelter which opened it’s doors in April of 2005. In 2008, Pet Pal built a low cost spay/neuter clinic and in 2009, they expanded their services and changed the clinic’s name to Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic. The Clinic offers reasonable fees for their procedures , therefore aiding the fight to cut down the large number of pets that are euthanized each year. Under the direction of Executive Director, Scott Daly, Pet Pal has stayed true to their mission and the number of animals that they save increases each year. It continues the fight to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets and responsible pet ownership.

We operate next door to our sponsoring hospital, Animal Hospital Southwest, where we rescue special needs animals from shelters that are in need of extensive treatments like for heartworms, traumatic injury, or similar issues. We then rehabilitate them and find them forever homes. All Adoptees are spay/neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, current on baseline labwork which includes heartworm and fecal checks as well as on a heartworm preventive.

SRC begain in June, 2003 when after being bedridden for more than 4 years with Lupus (SLE) I went into remission. Being able to function again yet not work outside the home, I wanted to give back as I had always been in public service so I started SRC to repay my precious Mini Schnauzer (Chewie) for being such a faithful companion during my time of being bedridden. He had even laid on my head during blinding migraines! Since that time SRC has flourished and we have been blessed to have placed more than 2500 Schnauzers and Honorary Schnauzers in loving adoptive homes! Each one stays in a loving foster home and comes from trauma of horrible conditions! They are so glad to be rescued from the horror of puppy mills and kill facilities and with time and understanding become fantastic pets! SRC also publicly promotes spay/neuter for all animals and works to educate the public on the desperate need for this policy. We work to do micro-chip clinics to help the elderly be able to keep their dogs healthy despite their lack of income. We also work to place adult dogs with senior adoptive parents. I believe this is my calling and plan to spend the remainder of my lifetime in service to this worthy mission.

Who We Are: A group of volunteers in Jackson County, MS dedicated to the mission of saving animal’s lives at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. We are a 501c3 Non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Mississippi. Mission Statement: • To assist Jackson County Animal Shelter with funds, food, supplies, shelter improvements, fostering and volunteerism. • To assist Jackson County Animal Shelter in securing good, reliable adoptive families for animals through social networking, transport to other states and local adoption events. • To educate the public on the importance of spay and neuter laws, animal protection laws and pet owner responsibility. How You Can Help: We always need responsible foster families; we cannot pull animals from the local shelter unless we have safe, reliable foster homes for them to go to for training, medications, spay and neuter hold and quarantine for transports. We work in conjunction with local and out of state Rescue organizations to save as many animals as possible through this fostering, adoption and transport program. Financially, we need funds for supplies, vet care and medicines, shelter pull fees and subsidizing transports to other states. Future projects include possible upgrades to the shelter to help reduce the spread of disease, increase animal capacity and thereby reduce euthanasia rates. We are also working on how to implement and fund low cost spay and neuter programs, micro-chipping, an adoption sponsorship fund and other life saving ideas.
