We started by helping with feral cats in our neighborhood and after we moved to the suburbs we wanted a way to help cats in the area by helping get ferals neutered and helping friendlies get placed in homes. We also offer ferals that cannot return to their original location to area barns.

We are a 501c3 IRS approved non- profit charity.  Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is committed to rescuing and providing safe haven for neglected, unwanted, injured, abandoned and/or companion animals labeled as ‘unadoptable’.  We are devoted to healing their bodies and improving their lives; and giving them proper care, food and shelter while providing the bridge to their forever homes.  We nurture, socialize, exercise, and provide love and good nutrition to companion animals until their forever, loving home can be found.   We provide rehabilitation and sanctuary for those that are too traumatized by past abuse or are ill or old.  We provide whatever they need - medical care, special food, soft dog beds, daily care and feeding and lots of love - for a safe, comfortable and happy life.  Ultimately, we are with them for end-of-life care.   NOTE: We have a web site but are interested in your services and would like to transition our current web site to something like word press or something that is not html coded - but we have some questions regarding links to a web site on your platform - pdf fillable adoption applications from an outside source, domain transfer, etc. Is there someone we can talk to or is it by email only? I look at all your videos but need some more help. We also are all volunteer.

CHEW Dog Rescue was created to help with over crowding of Shelters and community dogs that have been abandoned. I have volunteered for 9 years and focus on pregnant moms to be and discarded puppies. We pull from Shelters and our surrounding community. Moms and pups get the medical attention they need, are socialized, vaccinated and adopted out when they are old enough. Our Moms are all spayed before they are adopted. I love making a positive difference in these dogs lives and giving them a good foundation so they can find their forever homes and be a joy to own.

TRHAP is 100% volunteer and 100% foster based 501c3. We formed in 2014 to help animals in all forms of need. We help private owners who cannot keep their animals, pull dogs from high kill shelters. We take animals that have been brought into a vet for illness/injury and if the owner cannot afford the treatment and want them euthanized, our vet offers them an alternative to reach out to us to give the dog a chance at recovery and finding it the best home. We take animals to Ohio State Veterinary Hospital anytime our vet recommends for advanced diagnostics, care or treatment.

We live and work in a rural, low-income, under-educated VA county. Animals are held in low esteem here. There are hundreds of community and feral cat colonies. The populations are controlled by starvation, illness, and predator's (both human and animal). There are also hundreds of low-income residents who do not spay/neuter their pets. This generates hundreds of unwanted animals. We help homeless, abused, and unwanted cats and kittens by providing foster care, socialization, veterinary care, and adoption services. We may partner with other animal welfare organizations to address the needs of our feline rescues. We are a small home-based organization. Cats and kittens are cared for in foster homes. All donations go to our cats and kittens. Our goal is to accept all rescue requests. We fully vet (spay/neuter, vaccinate, deworm, FeLk/FIV test, and provide regular applications of preventative for fleas, ear mites, roundworm, hookworm, heartworm) microchip, and rehome via adoptions. We average more than 250 adoptions per year. Go to VA805.PetFinder.org to view some of our currently adoptable cats and kittens. We do it because we can't turn our backs to the inhumanity and the suffering and to support those who struggle to care for colonies but lack the financial resources to do so.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-run organization who prides itself on raising healthy, well-adjusted, socialized cats and assisting in helping them find their intended forever-family. From rescue to forever home, each animal is hand-raised, cage-free, fully vetted, and fostered in the homes of our loving volunteers. We encourage utilizing the individual talents and skills of each volunteer to foster a collaborative environment that educates, motivates, and nurtures feline advocacy in our community.

We are trying to eliminate the suffering of cats in this state. Our primary objective is to TNR, but have found ourselves spending more time caring for cats that no longer have homes. So we are also a sanctuary. We have not adopted out even one cat since we started.

We are very small and foster based. We try to pull those dogs out of the shelter that are either on the kill list or nobody else has shown an interest in. I am also a dog groomer of many years and know how to make them feel pretty again.

My name is Shelley and Survivor's Paws Animal Rescue, Inc was named after my wonderful dog, Survivor. He was 3 years old and totally emaciated when I gave hm a ride. Survivor was an incredible 3 year old emaciated dog that was dropped off by his original owners at a New York City kill shelter. He was only 32lbs of skin and bones with sores on his poor body. Survivor was pulled from the kill shelter. After extensive tests were done at the veterinary's office, it was found that Survivor was emaciated due to his original owners not feeding him. Rescues support each other. There was a post for a dog needing transport from New York City to Burlington, VT. As the call of duty, the post was answered. Survivor had the rides he needed to get to his forever home. Survivor was fostered in New York City for little bit. He was given a ride to Hartford, CT and transported to White River Junction, VT to meet his supposed family from Burlington, VT. That Burlington, VT family failed to show up to pick up this beautiful soul. It was their loss. Survivor was quarantined and ended up in his furever home in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire. Survivor didn't know what grass was....he kept picking up his feet for the first couple of days. It was kind of funny to see him do that. Survivor was fed multiple small meals throughout the days and he thrived in his new environment He learned how to be a dog, and loved playing with his tennis balls. He would play fetch for hours. Survivor was an ambassador for his breed and for the rescue world. He loved all creatures, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, - even bees and humans of all sizes. AND he loved to smell flowers. Survivor was taken on rescue missions, he did numerous home visit checks with his furever Mom. Survivor was temperament test dog, With his great laid back temperament, it was the perfect job for him. He loved puppies....even at 12 years when there was a couple of foster puppies in his home...he played with them. Survivor even went on dog rescue missions to find lost dogs. He was 12 years when he went on his last lost dog mission. Survivor and Mom hiked for hours thru the woods of White River Junction, VT for this 6 month old puppy that got lost during doggie transport. We spent 3 days looking for this poor puppy from Louisiana. Survivor's Mom was on rescue mission in Boston, MA when this puppy, Avery, got loose during transport in White River Jct, VT. By the time Survivor's Mom got home from Boston, MA it was almost midnight on that Saturday night. Survivor's Mom was catching up on rescue pages and saw that Avery was loose and all by herself in the cold in December right before Christmas. It was too later and Survivor's Mom was too exhausted to go looking that night. The next morning, Survivor and Mom went out looking for Avery, and the next day. Survivor looked for 3 days with his Mom. Finally on Christmas night....we got the miracle we were hoping for. Avery was caught in the dog trap that Survivor's Mom was able to borrow from the Upper Valley Humane Society. The family that let Survivor's Mom put up the trap, they were terrific and they caught the first sighting of Avery which lead to her capture. Thank you, Chris and Megan. Survivor was a trooper hiking thru the snow and cold. Survivor's Mom fed Survivor a special Christmas dinner for all his hard work. I am Survivor's Mom and He is just one of the reasons I do rescue.

RPSM is a prison dog program that saves dogs and people. RPSM takes in overlooked dogs from shelters because of bad manners. Every 10 weeks, a group of 14 dogs enter into the prison dog program to learn their manners. After learning graduating, the dogs are adopted into approved homes. This is a WIN-WIN-WIN. A dog learns manners and is adopted by a forever family, a family adopts a trained dog, and inmates learn skills to use in a job on the outside of prison when they are released.
