Adoptions

We have permanent residents that are not adoptable due to being feral, blind, deaf, or having other health issues or behavior issues. They live on the property for life. We also have adoptable cats there. If they are not adopted after a few months they are transferred to another rescue in Maryland. We have a network of foster homes as well.

P4P is six years old and homed about 2000 dogs and some cats. My wife Sue and I are the founders, we have put together a very safe reliable rescue. We rely on fosters to prepare dogs for their new homes. We love helping mans best friend.

We are a foster based rescue ran by a small group of volunteers. We focus mostly on dogs in puppy mills and as space permits senior dogs. Breeder dogs have a special place in my heart because they have never had the opportunity to just be a dog and live in a home and know what love is. I love watching the transformation in these dogs as they begin to trust and the sparkle comes back into their eyes. I can relate to them in regards that all of us at some time in our life feel unwanted and unloved and we are hopeful, yet doubtful, that we will find what our true potential is. We provide all the vetting for these dogs and they are placed in foster homes until a forever home can be found. We work on gaining their trust and showing them love. It's truly a labor of love!

I have always been a huge animal lover. I used to work for a pitbull rescue in Georgia as a kennel manager for a few years and I recently relocated to Alabama. Sadly, this county has a huge number of stray and abandoned animals and a lack of resources for rescue and veterinary care. There is no city or county animal control facilities to help the animals. There is one other rescue Randolph County Animal Shelter which is a private rescue that houses about 30 animals at a given time. With the support of my mother and sister I have the opportunity to start and run a fantastic rescue on our family property where I can do what I love and make a difference rescuing dogs and finding them forever loving homes! This small rural area really needs the help. The number of animals dumped on the roads here is horrible.

The Vegan Animal Rescue aims to rescue, rehabilitate and find homes to frequently. forgotten pets. We focus on rodents such as rats, mice and hamsters as well as guinea pigs and rabbits. We endeavour to provide a vegan diet (except for those animal such as bearded dragons that need meat) and believe that animals deserve love and respect. We are 100% foster based.

My partner and I work together caring for the kittens out of our home. We have always had a passion for saving all lives. Stepping on an ant isn't in our DNA. =) We do this because the feral population is out of control in the area where I work a full time job. I have colony of ferals I have TNRd over the years, but we can never get them all, so kittens pop up throughout the year. I take the kittens when they are old enough to roam around and can survive without mom. This ensures I am not trying to TNR them later, after they have become too feral to tame. We then take them to our vet for a wellness visit, dewormer, FELV testing, and anything else the vet recommends, then we work on finding them homes. Most kittens are sterilized by our vet between the age of 5-6 months.

I am the founder of TXARR. I would love to save all the strays and lessen the number of unwanted pets in Texas by spaying and neutering.

Every animal deserves a good life. That’s why we’re doing everything we can — from local dog and cat rescues, to rehabilitations and adoptions — to give the NEXT animal in need a CHANCE at forever.

The purpose of our organization is to improve the lives of stray, abandoned and displaced cats and kittens in upstate SC. Through our in-home foster program, we will provide medical care and supplies, community TNR programs and on-site adoptions.
