Paws of Love, Inc. is a new, community-driven initiative that is working not only to restore faith in animal welfare in Lawrence County, but to provide a beacon of hope for abandoned and neglected animals. This group of volunteers is passionate about filling the void left in our community when we found ourselves without a local animal rescue group. At Paws of Love, Inc., our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals through shelter, adoption, transport, education, and advocacy. Would you like to help us? Please adopt! The building that we are using to shelter the animals left to us is in need of extensive repairs and renovations that can best be done in an empty building. As such, our biggest need is to find good, forever homes for the dogs in our care. If you have room in your heart and your home, adoptions are our most fervent wish right now. Sadly, until necessary building repairs can be made, we cannot accept any additional animals. We are only staffed by volunteers right now, with irregular hours, but if you would like to meet our precious dogs, please let us know, and we will make arrangements to meet you. Please give! The mission of Campbell County Animal Services is to provide services and information which safeguard public health and safety while promoting responsible pet ownership, to humanely house and care for animals in its’ charge, to protect the animals of the community from abuse and neglect and to end the euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals.

Exposure = Empathy Ballydídean rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes farmed animals who are unwanted, neglected, or abused. Through tours and community education, we give people the chance to make friends with animals they typically only meet on their dinner plate, giving them an opportunity to rethink their relationship with farmed animals.

Sumter County Animal Services is the county municipal animal shelter. The Mission of Sumter County Animal Services is to provide public safety when responding to reports of domestic animals at large, lost or in conflict with the community, and either finding placement with rescue groups or adopting out animals in our custody. Our vision is to provide a safe community for our citizens and pets through effective and innovative programming that engages and provides resources to the public to ensure we save every healthy and treatable domestic animal in our custody.

Friends of Campbell County Animals took over the existing Campbell County Animal Shelter after the shelter was about to be closed due to mishandling by the previous director. We are now both a 501c3 and a municipal shelter.

I am the shelter manager of Hampton County Animal Shelter. I have been employed since 2013 and volunteered even before. I have always been involved with animals and chose to take a position at the shelter so that my love for animals could help on a higher level than just a pet owner.

BACS is an open admission shelter that provides a safe haven for all homeless animals within Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville and Piedmont. We also provide animal control services to enforce laws and policies around animal care. We are a public service.
