P.O Box 2237
Minnesota
55337
acrossamericaboxerrescue@gmail.com
Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs. When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them.

NikaPower, Inc DBA The Rescued Pup Boutique

713 Main Street
Ramona
California

therescuedpup@gmail.com(760) 788-6805
Our rescue is NikaPower, Inc. We used to hold our adoption events at pet stores, through private showings and public events. However, this proved to be extremely stressful for our dogs (all but the private showings). We started searching for a physical store front and found the perfect spot by our home. This was the birth of The Rescued Pup Boutique. We had to increase our adoption fees to cover our expenses, but so far it has been working out great. We have placed over 60 dogs since February of this year. we chose to name our adoption center something different than the name of our rescue, to help with marketing and to make it clearer what we were doing. At our location we also have boutique items for sale and all of the proceeds go to help our rescue efforts. We are all volunteers that work for free at the shop. We feel it is a great opportunity to get the public involved in volunteering to help animals, we also work to educate about the importance of shots and fixing pets in addition to microchip. Our location is in a more rural part of San Diego, but we are attracting visitors from all over. Our dogs come to the shop everyday and go home at night with their fosters. None of our dogs are kept in shelter type of accommodations. When visitors come to our shop they are welcome to play with, walk, cuddle, brush or just hang out with the dogs. We have a couch that the dogs are allowed on so the humans can visit. We have a solid following of frequent flyers that come solely to play with the dogs. We encourage this because it helps our dogs to be socialized and the dogs are offering their services back to the community. Nothing like stopping by after a long day of work to de-stress with a dog!

Medical Animals In Need

P.O. Box 46365
Phoenix
Arizona
85063
medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com
The M.A.I.N. Team is an Arizona based, all volunteer group focused on identifying, transporting, aiding and promoting animals from Arizona shelters who need immediate and sometimes costly medical attention the shelters are unable to provide. We are a group of volunteers that saw a need in our county’s shelter system and worked together to address and correct it. Each day, Maricopa County’s animal shelters take in around 150 stray or unwanted dogs, meaning kennels originally designed for one animal are typically packed with four or more. MCACC is the nation’s second largest shelter, and sadly any available space must be given to healthy adoptable animals. M.A.I.N. is here for the injured and sick that stand no chance at all of being rescued in these shelters. We have developed close working relationships with both the east and west locations and staff regularly call to alert us to any particular animals that needs our help. We are available to these shelters and to these dogs 24/7 – and in 2012, more than 150 were saved from euthanasia as a result.

Rescue Haven Foundation

P.O. Box 266
New Jersey
07006
info@rescuehaven.org
The FernDog Rescue Foundation’s founder and director, Fernando Camacho, has been working with animal rescue groups and shelters for his entire career as a dog behavior consultant and trainer. These dedicated groups typically rely solely on volunteers that work tirelessly trying to save as many animals as they possibly can. Unfortunately, these groups often lack the funding, time and resources to better accomplish their work. One of the things that hit Fernando the hardest was realizing that although the dogs staying at shelters were physically cared for, their mental health deteriorated daily. With each day a dog spends in an animal shelter, his chances for adoption decline due to the psychological effects of the typical shelter environment. It’s not the animal shelter’s fault – they do the best they can with what they have. The problem is that they have so little available to them to make any kind of change, and that’s why The FernDog Rescue Foundation was formed. The mission of The FernDog Rescue Foundation is to help dogs at risk by providing foster homes that will nurture their physical and emotional health, help locate the ideal forever homes for them while providing support and training to help assure that their stay in their new homes is permanent. In addition we focus on developing programs to promote pet adoption services and raise public awareness by providing community education of the issues surrounding animal rescue. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
