Dogs by Debin

5559 NW Barry Rd. #363
Missouri
64154
dogsbydebin@gmail.com(816) 298-9997
Dogs by Debin is located in Kansas City, Missouri. We house & care for approximately 40 dogs at any given time. Our dogs arrive in our care in many ways; owner surrenders, strays & we pull from local high-intake shelters. We have an equal balance of dogs that need medical care, behavioral rehabilitation & some dogs that are just ready to get into that new home today. All of our dogs leave our care spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & heartworm tested (if positive, we treat them). We were developed based on the fact that there is a gap in the system here locally. The shelters that are open-intake, although they are doing the best they can, they can only do so much. Those shelters are also very stressful to the dogs & this is where we step in. You can consider our place a half-way home for dogs if you will. We allow the dogs to be dogs again, offering them behavioral modification, land to run on, playgroups & necessary vet care. With this being said, our adoption rate is sometimes slowed due to the fact the dog(s) may not be ready for adoption right away. We set our dogs up for success & match them with the right family. Our final goal is to have the adoptions last the dog's lifetime. Our #1 goal though is to have a dog stay in their current home, should it be safe. We offer counseling & resources to do our best to make this happen. When it's not possible, they may safely surrender the dog to us, provided we have space. Please consider donating to our cause. You can revisit our website & watch while we grow, or help us grow by making a donation. We are a licensed shelter through the state of Missouri & a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

English Springer Rescue America, Inc.

Shakopee
Minnesota
55379
braidt@minn.net
English Springer Rescue America, Inc. (ESRA) is a national referral and foster care pure-bred placement organization, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. ESRA's mission is to provide foster care to English Springers impounded by humane societies, private shelters, and animal control facilities nationwide, as well as to offer adoption referral services for those agencies. There are no paid staff, and all our members do what they do on a completely voluntary basis. English Springers are as susceptible to impoundment as any dog. They are picked up off the streets as strays or relinquished by their owners because of a move, illness or death, financial crisis, or other troubled circumstances. Adoption referral assistance is also available to those owners who can no longer care for their Springers and must give them up for adoption. Through the compassionate efforts and commitments to help, ESRA's volunteer members have successfully placed thousands of Springers in new loving homes. To be considered for placement in ESRA's database of prospective adopting homes, click here for the adoption application. When received, and after the approval process, we will enter you in our database of homes preliminarily to adopt available dogs. These listings include dogs in shelters and foster homes, and those being relinquished by their owners. ESRA was founded March 25, 1998, by Jan Flagg, a Southern California resident. In the summer of 1998, ESRA's management were co-founders of the now-defunct English Springer Spaniel Rescue Coalition (ESSRC), which was an early coalition of independent rescue groups, out of which grew English Springer Spaniel Rescue nationwide as we know it today.

Potsdam Humane Society, Inc.

Potsdam
New York

shelter@potsdamhumanesociety.org(315) 265-3199
Founded in 1957, the Potsdam Humane Society (PHS)* has been providing love and humane care for unwanted, abandoned and sick animals in Potsdam and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. With the support of the Potsdam community and 11 surrounding townships, PHS delivers services and protection to over 1,200 cats, dogs and other animals each year. The compassionate, humane care you help us provide also makes our community better, as the kindness we extend to animals will inevitably influence our lives in immeasurable ways. PHS aspires to find homes for all animals that find their way to our doorstep, and to ensure that none of them will ever lose their lives due to lack of space or the resources to care for them. We welcome your support and assistance in achieving these goals, and in continuing a 50-year tradition of humane and compassionate care for the animals with which we share our lives here in our own hometown area.
