Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida (LRROF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing Labrador Retrievers in loving, permanent homes. Our organization is comprised of hardworking volunteers and vetrinarian partners that are committed to placing Labs in new homes. Lab Rescue started in 2000 as a grassroots organization and has pioneered the talents and techniques of its volunteer base to become one of the most successful dedicated breed rescue in the State of Florida. LRROF provides foster care, veterinary care, spaying/neutering and microchips for the Labradors in our adoption program. Our goal is to place our Labradors in appropriate, permanent homes. Prior to an adoption, we consider the history, temperament, personality, and energy level of the rescued Labrador. The placement process includes a written application and a home visit of the potential adopter. LRROF is committed to making a lifelong match for of all our adopted Labradors.

My name is Laura and I am the president of CVRR. For 5 years I was the dog coordinator and board member for the Humane Society for Campbell County, where we had one of the largest and most respected foster-care-based rescues in the region. I have been a veterinary technician for 15 years. I have also been a trainer and behaviorist for 10+ years. My volunteers and I pulled away from HSCC because of a varying value system and different long-term goals, to create an organization based on a totally volunteer-run administration where every dollar goes to the animals' care. Educational outreach is also of paramount importance. Rescue has been a huge part of my life and my family's life, and we love having the opportunity to not only help animals get a well-deserved second chance but also play a part in completing a family with a new furry addition. Many volunteers in the rescue world I have found are very much animal people, but I enjoy the human aspect nearly as much as the opportunity to advocate for animals.

Shelter Animals Adocates rescues dogs from Aiken County/City and other rescue/ shelters in our state. We often step in to help support animal efforts for overwhelmed rescues/shelters who help our state/county we foster the dogs, get them ready for adoption, by spay-neuter and other medical needs, We care for them until they can be adopted or move to a no-kill rescue. Under our HeartBeat Campaign we provide HW treatment for heartworm positive dogs rescued from Aiken County shelter, heartworm treatment takes about four months to complete. Most dogs we have for adoption have no where else to go, they are often bully mixes that no rescue has time to adopt out as fosters are hard to commit to lengthy fosters stays. Dogs we have for adoption often wait for months to find the right home. Please consider donating so we can continue our efforts in our state.

We are a small group of volunteers who have always had a passion for saving animals of any kind, but we are drawn to dachshunds. This drew us together and we decided to take a grass roots fundraising campaign to the next level, which is a 501c3 non profit that concentrates on rescueing dachshunds and dachshund mixes. We all do this solely for our love of animals and the breed. Corinne Zoscak is President. Kimberly Wykoff is Treasurer. Natalie McIntosh is Secretary. Corinne and Kimberly take care of mostly everything for the rescue. Natalie helps run the website and is basically a person to bounce ideas off of. We also have a long list of dedicated volunteers, foster parents, and transporters who help us accomplish our goals.

Alaska Animal Advocates

AAA is a no-kill dog rescue group based in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley in Alaska. We are a young group, having officially opened for business in February 2014, but each board member has years of experience in animal rescue. We rescue dogs and puppies from all over the state. They are placed in foster homes, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and have any medical issues treated before they are made available for adoption. We aren't just in the business of adoption though. We want to make sure the families of Alaska have the help they need to keep their pets, so we provide low-cost vaccinations and microchipping, and we have a pet food bank- supplied by generous donations from the public- for families who are going through difficult times. For families who are simply unable to keep their pets anymore, we provide free advertising for their pets on our website.
