Foster Care

Canadian Hound Rescue is a small, not-for-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned coonhounds find loving and permanent homes as indoor pets. We mainly operate in Ontario, but have volunteers in other provinces as well. We rescue all breeds of coonhounds including the Black and Tan, Bluetick, Redbone, English, Plott Hound, and Treeing Walker Coonhounds. We also rescue Bloodhounds and hound mixes.

my husband and i take in and find homes for hairless breed dogs; chinese cresteds, xoloitzcuintle, and american hairless terriers, as well as mixes of the above. we have volunteered with two national groups but decided to cut down on the numbers of fosters and have more control over the home they go to (ie local), so we decided to go out on our own. we love the breed and have been actively rescuing these breeds for 6 years and have been involved in animal rescue for over 20

Almost Home Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization made up solely of volunteers. Our primary purpose is to rescue mistreated or homeless animals and place them in loving environments. We hope to bring about a significant change in the treatment of all animals through educational programs and by working closely with other rescue organizations and sanctuaries. Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation. No animal is expendable! We strive to give animals the safe and happy life they deserve.

Our all-volunteer organization is funded by private donations only and is a 501(c)(3) status non-profit organization. East Mississippi Animal Rescue is not a shelter with visiting hours; animals are housed at the homes of volunteers. Rescue expenses are funded by donations and adoption fees. The East Missisisippi Animal Rescue sponsors a number of dogs and cats that we feel are highly adoptable. These pets are vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed or neutered for a low fee.

We organize the rescue and placement of siberians and northern breeds in three states. We work with other rescues in major metropolitan areas and have foster homes in small towns where they are unable to join a 501 c 3 rescue. We have a data base that all northern breed rescues groups in our area utilize.

All volunteer organization. Our volunteers provide foster homes for dogs from the City of Dallas Animal Shelter. The dogs waivered out of the shelter are those on the list of dogs to be put to sleep. We host an adoption event at least 2x per month at a local storefront. We also host fundraising events to fund our medical costs and, when funds exist, we give money to local spay/neuter projects.

STOP is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to a short-term goal of fostering animals and the long term goal is to build and staff a private animal shelter in the greater Tehachapi area.

We are a labrador retriever rescue that places labs and lab mixes in new homes. We do this because we love the lab breed and want to be sure dogs in need of a new home find the right home for them.

Kitty Katchers began in the Spring of 2007 to T-N-R cats in the neighborhood. We get calls constantly to assist in trapping. Kitty Katchers will trap, spay/neuter and return the feral cats to their own colonies; however, if the female has kittens, we will foster the kittens (including taking care of all vaccinations, illnesses, etc.) and place them up for adoption. By practicing the TNR method, we are hoping to assist in the control of the feral cat population.

We are a group of VOLUNTEER fosters that saw the need for helping larger, mixed breed dogs. We try to keep dogs from entering shelters . When possible we also save dogs from the urgent lists of "kill" shelters in the Mid South. We are a VERY SMALL group trying to save one dog at a time.
