Pup Culture Rescue

California
91436
hello@pupculturerescue.org
We are a small team of three women with a passion for rescuing dogs and rewriting their futures. We rescued 200 dogs in our first year of operation and are on track to more than double that number in our second year. We are saving more dogs than ever before, and our growing community has allowed us to take on more vulnerable cases like medical dogs and litters of puppies. We know that every dog deserves a loving home, and we are dedicated to making that a reality.

Pawsitive Connections Inc

California
93722
info@pawsitiveconnections.org(559) 393-1946
Pawsitive Connections Inc, is a no-kill, 501(c)3 nonprofit dog and cat rescue. We adopt out approximately 300 dogs per year in addition to permanently supporting non adoptable dogs who for either behavioral or medical reasons stay with the sanctuary. We feed a feral cat colony and adopt out a few litters a year. Based out of Kingsburg, CA, we travel on Saturdays from Kingsburs to hold adoption events in San Jose. The Central Valley is a hot spot for homeless pets and by traveling outside our immediate area we give them a better chance of getting adopted. We have made the trip nearly every Saturday for the last 10 years. Founded in the Spring of 2010, we provide the service of quarantining and/or fostering dogs while following appropriate vaccination schedules, as well as providing any other necessary medical care or treatment. All our animals are also micro chipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. As an independent rescue, we partner with Central Valley animal shelters. These shelters are often inundated with dogs, especially large breed adult dogs who have a higher risk of being euthanized due to lack of space in shelters. We are not breed or size specific and pull whatever we have room for, puppies to seniors. Presently, many of our large breed adult dogs we have pulled spend many months and sometimes even years with us due to lack of interest. Large breed adult dogs take more resources to support in general. In addition, we will take on the extra cost of pulling medical case dogs from shelters funds permitting. The shelters often cannot afford treatment and/or lack staff availability to provide the necessary round-the-clock care and lack space for the longer-term recovery time they would need. They would be at greater risk for euthanasia without this intervention from us. Shelters are also often not equipped to house young puppies. In a shelter environment, puppies are at high risk for catching parvo, distemper, and other potentially deadly viruses. We often will get a plea to help with puppies that are at the shelter, and we pick up usually within the day to lessen their exposure at the shelter. We also help the community directly by taking owner surrender dogs space permitting. Another direct impact program we have is the Last Litter Program where we work with individual owners that are having unwanted litters. As part of this program, we spay the mother dog, who remains with the original owner, and then we take in her puppies. If owners have other female dogs, we will often spay those dogs as well. After each dog is medically and behaviorally ready for adoption, we strive to place them in their best forever home.

I do PR work for Cabin Critters as a volunteer. We started a rescue about 3.5 years ago as there's been a dire need for rescue (we have the county shelter and one other shelter before we started up). Scioto county is #5 od the most impoverished counties in ohio. Our big goal was a shelter and we did that within our first year. Currently we have rescued over 700 dogs since starting. We do thisbto help educate and save lives

Love You More Animal Rescue

My story is this; I worked in corporate America (Healthcare) for 16+ years after working my share of blue-collar jobs from the age of 14 with a work permit in high school. My husband Joe, the same, however he went further in his education, received a master’s degree and went on to become a CPA. He worked in finance for many years. In 2016 we basically bet everything we had, relocated our 4 children from our beautiful home in Wheaton, IL to a tiny farmhouse on a 5.5-acre farm in West Chicago, IL with 2 bedrooms and ONE bathroom. We bet the farm - for the farm. I resigned from my position and opened Our Family Pet Sitting Resort & Spa LLC in April 2016. We happily gave up revenue on 5 - 10 kennel spaces from day one to help rescues in need of foster space and offered complimentary services (Boarding, Daycare, Training & Grooming) to multiple rescues. That was the one dream we had bigger than having our own business, was having our own rescue. This was the way I could help others and still fill my own heart while running the business to put food on our table for 6. Right out of the gate we were successful. We had profitable years every year except covid which was flat. We keep growing and thriving so last year we decided to go for it and we established our 501c3 Love you more animal rescue! I am so proud of the work we are doing. Joe and I split off into two. Joe runs Our Family Pet Sitting, LLC with my daughter and son, and I am running Love you more animal rescue full time. I received my final documentation and "go ahead" from the state on October 17, 2022 and was rescuing 9 pups from euthanasia on October 22. 2022. I did not waste a moment.

LADA Paws Rescue

3 NW 90 Rd
Kansas
67544
Ladapawsrescue@gmail.com
Our organization started about four years ago. We are employed with Hoisington Veterinary Hospital, in Hoisington Kansas. The owner, Linday Reif owns the clinic and has a contract to take in the stray cats and dogs in Hoisington Kansas. After the three day stray hold, Hoisington wants the animals euthanized. The owner of the hospital decided to take the stray dogs and cats and place them into new homes. This just really evolved and four of us decided to be founders of a rescue, LADA Paws. We have four founders, our Vet Dr Lindsay, Amber our Kennel manager, Desirae our office manager and Arica our groomer. We were officially a rescue July 2021. We received our 501c3 status later in the year. For the year 2021 we had just over 200 adoptions, Jan-Dec. This year 2022,we are at 198 adoptions from Jan-Sep. We are "tagging" animals from MO, OK, KS and TX (sometimes). We were gifted a transport van and after some minor repairs we will be able to use this instead of our personal vehicles. We have short term plans and long term plans. We are still learning and trying to find the program that works best for us.

We shelter animals from Clarke County, MS only. We started four years ago and have grown tremendously. We are the first shelter here. We do work with Sandi Paws Rescue, but need more help. Although we are a kill shelter, we pretty much don't do it unless it's absolutely necessary. We've only euthanized 10 in four years due to space, three of those last week.
