Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue and Sanctuary

Tennessee
37067
hcwtenn@gmail.com
We are a 501c3 IRS approved non- profit charity.  Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is committed to rescuing and providing safe haven for neglected, unwanted, injured, abandoned and/or companion animals labeled as ‘unadoptable’.  We are devoted to healing their bodies and improving their lives; and giving them proper care, food and shelter while providing the bridge to their forever homes.  We nurture, socialize, exercise, and provide love and good nutrition to companion animals until their forever, loving home can be found.   We provide rehabilitation and sanctuary for those that are too traumatized by past abuse or are ill or old.  We provide whatever they need - medical care, special food, soft dog beds, daily care and feeding and lots of love - for a safe, comfortable and happy life.  Ultimately, we are with them for end-of-life care.   NOTE: We have a web site but are interested in your services and would like to transition our current web site to something like word press or something that is not html coded - but we have some questions regarding links to a web site on your platform - pdf fillable adoption applications from an outside source, domain transfer, etc. Is there someone we can talk to or is it by email only? I look at all your videos but need some more help. We also are all volunteer.

Cause 4 Paws

PO Box 301
Virginia
22508
cause4pawslocustgrove@gmail.com
We live and work in a rural, low-income, under-educated VA county. Animals are held in low esteem here. There are hundreds of community and feral cat colonies. The populations are controlled by starvation, illness, and predator's (both human and animal). There are also hundreds of low-income residents who do not spay/neuter their pets. This generates hundreds of unwanted animals. We help homeless, abused, and unwanted cats and kittens by providing foster care, socialization, veterinary care, and adoption services. We may partner with other animal welfare organizations to address the needs of our feline rescues. We are a small home-based organization. Cats and kittens are cared for in foster homes. All donations go to our cats and kittens. Our goal is to accept all rescue requests. We fully vet (spay/neuter, vaccinate, deworm, FeLk/FIV test, and provide regular applications of preventative for fleas, ear mites, roundworm, hookworm, heartworm) microchip, and rehome via adoptions. We average more than 250 adoptions per year. Go to VA805.PetFinder.org to view some of our currently adoptable cats and kittens. We do it because we can't turn our backs to the inhumanity and the suffering and to support those who struggle to care for colonies but lack the financial resources to do so.

Home At Last Animal Haven

Texas
76044
Home.At.Last.Animal@gmail.com
Home At Last Animal Haven is an animal rescue hoping to provide a second chance at life for friendless animals. HALAH is no kill shelter which originated when the founders saw all the "dumped" dogs in the rural area sitting on the side of the road waiting for their owners to return. They picked them up one by one and became the non profit organization which exits today. Home At Last is a rustic facility where dogs romp and rest together in huge yards. There are no tiny sterile cages where the animals live while hoping to be adopted before their time runs out. It is a Haven for animals to enjoy life in the country air, with birds overhead, earth beneath their paws, and playmates to keep them company, while considering the move to a personal, loving family home if one is offered.

Ocean Hill Cats Inc

New York
11233
info@oceanhillcats.com
Ocean Hill Cats’ goal is to humanely and safely reduce the huge overpopulation of stray and feral cats living on the streets and increase the quality of life of those who stay outside. Female kittens can get pregnant as early as at 4 months old and have 4-5 litters per year! That means most kittens don’t make it, and the ones that do are forced to fight for food, territory, mates… and repeat the cycle. We do our part by participating in trap, neuter, return (TNR) program – we use humane traps to catch feral cats and take them to the vet. They get fixed (spayed or neutered), vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed and returned outdoors to the same spot where they were trapped. Each returned cat gets an “ear tip” (a tiny tip of their ear is removed during spay/neuter surgery) to communicate to other rescuers that they’re already fixed, and don’t need to be trapped again. After the release, we coordinate ongoing care (food, water, shelter) for the community cats by tending to the cat colonies ourselves or working with volunteers. If the street cats within our care get sick or injured, we take them in and ensure they get appropriate veterinary care. Where needed and/or possible, we will do our best to find homes for street cats - for example friendly community cats living in dangerous locations, sick cats who can’t survive outside or abandoned pets. We also support low-income and vulnerable residents who own cats as pets by facilitating access (scheduling, transport, recovery) to low-cost veterinary & spay/neuter appointments. We also work on raising awareness about cat overpopulation in Brooklyn via social media and in person conversations with neighbors.

LADA Paws Rescue

3 NW 90 Rd
Kansas
67544
Ladapawsrescue@gmail.com
Our organization started about four years ago. We are employed with Hoisington Veterinary Hospital, in Hoisington Kansas. The owner, Linday Reif owns the clinic and has a contract to take in the stray cats and dogs in Hoisington Kansas. After the three day stray hold, Hoisington wants the animals euthanized. The owner of the hospital decided to take the stray dogs and cats and place them into new homes. This just really evolved and four of us decided to be founders of a rescue, LADA Paws. We have four founders, our Vet Dr Lindsay, Amber our Kennel manager, Desirae our office manager and Arica our groomer. We were officially a rescue July 2021. We received our 501c3 status later in the year. For the year 2021 we had just over 200 adoptions, Jan-Dec. This year 2022,we are at 198 adoptions from Jan-Sep. We are "tagging" animals from MO, OK, KS and TX (sometimes). We were gifted a transport van and after some minor repairs we will be able to use this instead of our personal vehicles. We have short term plans and long term plans. We are still learning and trying to find the program that works best for us.

Fees very depending on species, health, age, breed desirability. This last item is because we fund ourselves mainly through adoptions. And we provide all spay neuter, shots and microchipping in advance of adoption.
