We provide a safe retirement home for horses and a safe place for Neutered/vaccinated community cats. We are committed fostering and adopting out cats and kittens after neuter and vaccination.

Here is my about me page: More than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry has led Karen to where she is today. As a young girl, Karen volunteered in animal shelters in eastern Pennsylvania. Her instincts as a natural healer led her to a medical career upon completing a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree at West Chester University. Karen worked full time as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and continued her education in holistic medicine over the last 20 years. She now works with clients in their homes and remotely, using animal communication and energy healing. She offers solutions to health issues, behavior issues, stress, anxiety, and end of life transitions. Most of these are treated with various energy healing modalities. Karen is passionate about helping to heal animals in shelters, sanctuaries, and rescue organizations. Today Karen continues to volunteer with the local rescue organization, Florida Keys SPCA in Marathon, Florida. While she has been involved with FKSPCA since 2003, she took on a more personal role in 2014 when she began implementing the use of calming music, and the diffusing of therapeutic-grade essential oils. This has helped to promote relaxation and healing in the indoor kennel areas by calming the dogs’ nervous systems. In addition to establishing Payton’s Promise Sanctuary, Karen is also a Best Selling Author, Healing Touch for Animals Practitioner, and Intuitive Healer. She graduated from Communication with all Life University, where she fine-tuned her skills in animal communication and energy medicine. Karen lives in South Florida with the loves of her life, her dogs.

ROAR's mission is to protect and provide for at-risk companion animals through adoption, sanctuary, colony management, collaboration, and community outreach with an unwavering commitment to a never-kill philosophy.

We are dedicated to dogs in this area only. We don't pull from out of state or adopt out of state. We have a preference for hospice, super seniors and medical cases but will take a dog if we have a foster available that matches the dog's needs.

Lucky Dog Rescue has been saving dogs in the greater Phoenix area for 18 years now. We started out as a Dalmatian Rescue but went all breed a year later. I absolutely love dogs. I have been the director for 17 years. We are stricly a foster based organization and often take in dogs with very high medical bills tbat would have no chance without our help. I have a large network of volunteers. Lucky Dog Rescue was awarded "Best of Scottsdale" 8 years in a fow for our work in the community.

We are a 501c3 IRS approved non- profit charity.  Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is committed to rescuing and providing safe haven for neglected, unwanted, injured, abandoned and/or companion animals labeled as ‘unadoptable’.  We are devoted to healing their bodies and improving their lives; and giving them proper care, food and shelter while providing the bridge to their forever homes.  We nurture, socialize, exercise, and provide love and good nutrition to companion animals until their forever, loving home can be found.   We provide rehabilitation and sanctuary for those that are too traumatized by past abuse or are ill or old.  We provide whatever they need - medical care, special food, soft dog beds, daily care and feeding and lots of love - for a safe, comfortable and happy life.  Ultimately, we are with them for end-of-life care.   NOTE: We have a web site but are interested in your services and would like to transition our current web site to something like word press or something that is not html coded - but we have some questions regarding links to a web site on your platform - pdf fillable adoption applications from an outside source, domain transfer, etc. Is there someone we can talk to or is it by email only? We are very small and foster based. We try to pull those dogs out of the shelter that are either on the kill list or nobody else has shown an interest in. I am also a dog groomer of many years and know how to make them feel pretty again.

Ziggy's Haven is a parrot rescue, shelter and sanctuary providing a safe home for displaced parrots.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. was established as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization in 1987 and we are in our 33rd year of saving horses. We are Broward County, Florida's oldest and largest horse rescue, and its only equine sanctuary. Our mission is to provide a permanent safe haven for all horses that are asymptomatic carriers of Equine Infectious Anemia in Florida as well as to offer help to any horse in immediate need of assistance in the tri county area. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. provides sanctuary to all horses we accept and does not buy, sell, trade or give away horses. Nor do we euthanize healthy horses to take in new horses. Instead, we offer a lifetime of sanctuary so these animals will never need help again. Our priority is to prevent the needless destruction of horses. Our financial goal is to acquire sustainable funding to provide these noble animals with the dignity of allowing them to live out their lives while meeting both their physical and psychological needs. We provide them with the best possible care and loving interactions they so deserve. Our moral position is to advocate and participate in ongoing research and if that is done, we will be helping all the horses in the US. Our intention is to help researchers find a cure, vaccine or a more accurate test for EIA. We offer aide by providing blood samples, (test tubes) to researchers, drawn by our licensed veterinarian. We also factually educate the public regarding EIA thus allowing us to dispel the myths and misconceptions about EIA. It is our ethical obligation to surrounding communities that we continue to give back to them in a worthwhile and enriching way by maintaining and enhancing our many programs that benefit local families, organizations and horse owners. Currently, we house 52 equines (49 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 1 hinny), 4 potbellied pigs, 1 farm pig, 2 sheep, and 5 goats. Only 7 of our horses are EIA Positive. Over the last several years we have worked with several local police departments in saving horses, pigs and sheep. We believe that teaching people how to properly care for horses, the time it takes, the true financial costs and the dedication required is extremely important. We believe that through our programs people will have the opportunity to learn about that commitment and dedication and be able to make an educated decision about buying, adopting, leasing or renting a horse. Thereby stopping the vicious cycle of horses ending up in bad situations.
