A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1972, we step up, stand up, and fight for at-risk animals -- from shelter dogs and cats to strays, ferals, and furries who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue. And we won’t stop until we see the end of overpopulation, cruelty, and neglect. With your help, we can make it happen. Let’s do this.

California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue

San Diego
California
92121
doginfo@labsandmore.org(858) 273-5386
We are a Non Profit 501(c)3 Organization operated through donated hours by our dedicated Volunteers. We rescue young and old, big and small Labradors, Boxers, Shepherds, Collies, Cattle Dogs, Pitt Bulls, and many mixed breed dogs. Your information will help us guide you toward dogs that will blend with your family situation and lifestyle. We do not adopt first come first serve but to best match. You will be adopting a RESCUED dog, one who will need continued care, support and love to overcome their past life situations. Be ready to commit time, money and resources to helping your dog transition to their new home. Rescuing a dog does not end at the adoption. You are agreeing to take on the next step in their life. Remember these are RESCUED animals who have endured hardships that we may not be aware of. Labs and More provides you with a Dog or Puppy who have received a Veterinarian check up, Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Worming, Fecal Test, and most adults a 4DX Test. Some of our dogs have undergone surgeries, treatments, and ongoing medical care. Our dogs receive far more care than what the Adoption Donation covers. When you adopt you are agreeing to provide the future needs of your new rescued Dog. This is what RESCUING is all about.

BARK is an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501c3 organization. We rescue lost and abandoned Keeshonden (and similar breeds and mixes) from animal shelters and from people who are unable or unwilling to care for them. We foster the dogs in the homes of volunteers, who provide the dogs with food, shelter, grooming, attention, and other care needed for their well being. We have all rescue dogs examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, immunized, and tested for heartworms. We microchip our dogs for permanent identification. We provide treatment for known illnesses or medical problems on a case by case basis. We work with potential adoptive families to find each dog the right forever home. We follow up on our adoptions, offer our adopters advice and support for the lifetime of the dog, and take our dogs back at any time if the people can't keep them. Our goal is for our dogs and their new families to be happy together for the dog's lifetime. As a non-profit dog rescue organization, BARK receives no government funding. We rely entirely on adoption fees and tax-deductible donations to cover our veterinary bills, spaying and neutering costs, shelter fees, grooming, foster care and other expenses. All of our work is done by volunteers. We have no paid staff. Every penny we raise goes directly to support our foster dogs.

info@asafefurrplace.com
A SafeFurr Place (ASP) is a newly founded animal rescue based in Kern County, Ca (Bakersfield) dedicated to rescuing abandoned and unwanted dogs in local high-kill shelters. Our pets are usually malnourished, broken spirited and sometimes not even potty-trained; after a few months and some TLc they are ready to find their forever homes. It all started with a impromptu trip to the local shelter where I witnessed appalling conditions and decided right then I needed to make a difference. We are still within our first year but have made great progress, have helped many dogs and touched many hearts already.

We work with this community, and with local city and county shelters rescuing cats and dogs, holding adoptions, and providing educational materials on animal care. We are a non-profit, charitable organization. We assist dogs and cats, and their owners in this community. Perhaps your life takes an abrupt turn. You are forced to move and must find a home for your faithful dog. Friends and family have not been successful in helping you; Your dog has been neutered and shots are current. You could contact a H.A.L.O. representative through our email: contacthalo@yahoo.com , or by calling H.A.L.O. voicemail at 925-473-4642. Next, we would contact you and arrange for you to bring your dog to to us to evaluate to see if he is a good fit for our adoption program. If he is, we may be able to fit him in to a foster home. If no foster home is available we may assist you in finding a home by listing him on our site and helping you show him. We will work with you in finding a new safe and loving home for your dog. This example demonstrates just one type of dilemma faced by families. We seek solutions to a variety of problems is this community.
