Corner of Kindness Mission Statement: To help animals live happier and healthier lives. Provide animals with a safe & fun place to spend their time. During this time they will be taught basic manners and skills and socialize with others. Most importantly, they will receive the vet care they need. Company Overview Corner of Kindness, with the help of MNSNAP & Fab Ferals, has successfully live trapped, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and re-released 18 feral cats. Description Corner of Kindness is created to better the lives of animals through rescue, TNR, public education & other means. Located in St Bonifacius, MN. Corner of Kindness was started after I realized that the world can always use more rescues because only 1 out of every 10 puppies born ever gets a forever home & the statistics are even lower for cats. Corner of Kindness specializes in TNR projects- allowing feral cats to be safely trapped, spayed/neutered, treated for medical conditions, given a rabies vaccine, after care, and finally released back into their colony. We also provide "foster care" to animals from other rescues until they find their forever families!

Northstar Shih Tzu Rescue (NorthStar/NSSTR) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 (in process) non-profit organization dedicated to Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs. NorthStar Shih Tzu Rescue exists to benefit both Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs and the people of our community. We operate as a no-kill rescue that provides rescue and adoption services, and meaningful outreach programs in order to advance the welfare of these companion animals, to serve and educate our community, and to make a positive, loving impact on the lives of both. NSSTR, located in Excelsior, MN, actively works to rescue Shih Tzu and Shih Tzu blend dogs from dangerous environments and shelters with the ultimate goal of placing them in loving, permanent, adoptive homes. We rescue unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs. We have them vaccinated, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, provide other medical care, and rehabilitate them in carefully selected foster homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on the benefits of adopting an animal in need as well as responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, good nutrition, and positive behavior training. We strive to increase public awareness about companion animal overpopulation, commercial breeders, and to offer solutions to end the killing of adoptable animals. We work in alliance with local animal shelters, pounds, other rescue groups, and humane society organizations to ensure these animals are not forgotten.

English Springer Rescue America, Inc. (ESRA) is a national referral and foster care pure-bred placement organization, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. ESRA's mission is to provide foster care to English Springers impounded by humane societies, private shelters, and animal control facilities nationwide, as well as to offer adoption referral services for those agencies. There are no paid staff, and all our members do what they do on a completely voluntary basis. English Springers are as susceptible to impoundment as any dog. They are picked up off the streets as strays or relinquished by their owners because of a move, illness or death, financial crisis, or other troubled circumstances. Adoption referral assistance is also available to those owners who can no longer care for their Springers and must give them up for adoption. Through the compassionate efforts and commitments to help, ESRA's volunteer members have successfully placed thousands of Springers in new loving homes. To be considered for placement in ESRA's database of prospective adopting homes, click here for the adoption application. When received, and after the approval process, we will enter you in our database of homes preliminarily to adopt available dogs. These listings include dogs in shelters and foster homes, and those being relinquished by their owners. ESRA was founded March 25, 1998, by Jan Flagg, a Southern California resident. In the summer of 1998, ESRA's management were co-founders of the now-defunct English Springer Spaniel Rescue Coalition (ESSRC), which was an early coalition of independent rescue groups, out of which grew English Springer Spaniel Rescue nationwide as we know it today.

Underdog Rescue MN

St. Louis Park

inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com
Underdog Rescue and Placement was founded in 2000 by Shannon McKenzie. Having volunteered for several other animal rescue organizations, Shannon saw a need to help the dogs and cats often overlooked by other rescuers, the “Underdogs” Our very first rescues included a pair of black kittens named Fenway & Wrigley, a pitbull puppy named Lucy and a tiny Toy Poodle named Lily (who was suffering from a head injury). No other rescue groups would take Fenway or Wrigley because black kittens are often overlooked by potential adopters, and, up until the time we rescued Lucy, rescue groups had not been allowed to rescue any dog considered to be a “Pit Bull” from Minneapolis Animal Control. While in law school, Shannon McKenzie had the “anti-pitbull” policy changed, with the assistance of Attorney, Marshall Tannick. Underdog Rescue continues to successfully rescue and place pitbulls and other “bully-breeds” through a continued partnership with Minneapolis Animal Control. Shannon’s dedication to the Underdog also extends to puppy mill survivors. Dogs that survive life in a puppy mill often come with a different set of challenges. They may require additional medical care, socialization and teaching of basic dog skills even though some may be adults. Our volunteers understand this and welcome these pets into their homes to show them what life as a dog and life with kind humans is like.

Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs. When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them.
