A Promise of Love [APOL] rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Wisconsin. We are a group of friends dedicated to saving the lives of animals and who are experienced with animal rescue. We exist by a network of caring volunteers, foster homes, and cooperating veterinarians. We are all volunteers who strive to save as many breeder releases, owner surrenders, and animals from high-kill shelters as possible. Our goal is to rescue, provide medical care, socialize, and provide loving foster homes until we match each animal with its carefully screened forever home. Because every animal deserves a promise of tomorrow, and a gift of life.

The HSJC is located in Jefferson, Wisconsin and is a small, privately run non-profit shelter that has been in operation since 1922. We recently celebrated our 90th year of caring for dogs, cats, birds and other small animals in need. Each year, close to 1,000 pets find sanctuary at our shelter. We put forth great effort to reunite owners with lost pets and to find good new homes for those who need a second chance. We do not impose a time limit on how long a healthy, adoptable animal may stay with us as they wait to be adopted.

PFM has been formed by three people with over 30 years of rescue experience between them. We feel that there is a "hole" in current rescue/shelter efforts and we hope to be able to help fill that hole. One aim is to help people understand their animals by education of animal behaviors. Hopefully, that will reduce the number of animals being brought in to "shelters" in our area. We also intend to provide an online service where animals (who have been vetted by us) can be seen by potential adopters, whom we will vet the same way we do our own. Additionally, there are animals we come into contact with who need immediate rescuing. We are a foster-based organization (limited), and will intake the animal(s) as soon as a foster home has room. We follow strict protocol for vaccinations (distemper and rabies), testing (FeLV/FIV, heartworm, etc.), preventative (heartworm), spay/neuter, and microchips. All of the animals available for adoption through our foster homes is up to date on all vaccinations and tests. We spay/neuter our animals between 4 and 6 months if young, and as soon as we intake them if older. All of the members of PFM have previous fostering experience. We do this because, as our mission states, "Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue is dedicated to the sanctity of all living things and their inherent right to a happy, healthy, and humane life." We hope to accomplish this one animal and one forever home at a time.

I have been in dogs my whole life. I own a boarding kennel and am a professional groomer of 14 years. I have taken in 1 dog at a time for years and found it a home before taking another. There are so many dogs out there now that needs homes. So I started my own rescue. It is so satisfying when the dogs find a forever family! We fully vet all of our dogs, vaccines for their age, altering, microchip, HW test, temperment test

Cindy could not bear seeing dogs being killed in the kill shelters down south so she decided to start this rescue and she has dogs and puppies pulled from shelters in the South,pregnant females, dogs with mange, etc. and after being in quarntine for two weeks down there they come up here where they go into foster homes and are available for adoption.

The mission of Milwaukee Pets Alive (MPA) is to end the killing of Milwaukee’s homeless pets through comprehensive programs and resources benefiting and serving the people and companion animals of Milwaukee first. Our top priority is that all healthy, treatable and rehabilitatable animals at Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) achieve live outcomes. We are an animal welfare organization dedicated to ending the killing of animals in Milwaukee County.

We are a small group of people dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. We do this through trap-neuter-return and low cost spay/neuter services through a variety of clinics. We also work to keep feral cats from being killed in shelters buy offering TNR and our farm cat program. We offer help to owners of cats for behavioral issues to try and keep these animals in their home.

Our mission is to offer the best possible care and future for companion animals in our community through leadership, placement, and outreach.

CCHS is located in a very rural, poor area of Wisconsin. We help stray and homeless animals in need, caring for them until new homes can be found. We are also located in an area with many puppy mills, and are involved with rescuing and rehoming mill dogs. We also sponsor FixaPet, a low-cost spay/neuter program available to anyone from anywhere.

Rescued Tails rescues animals from local animal control facilities as well as high-kill shelters. We tend to specialize in animals that get overlooked due to their age, breed, and/or temperament. Some of our animals live in foster homes and our long-term residents live at our small sanctuary. We believe that each individual life is valuable and will do what is necessary to ensure a successful outcome for every animal.
