My name is Kimy Smith. I am the owner and founder of Safe Haven Inc. I have love animals ever since I can remember. I fostered one dog that was severely neglected and got him ready for his forever home. Ever since then I have been helping other rescues with fostering until I opened my own.

We are not exclusively breed specific, but we do tend to be a Persian/Himmie/zot rescue as well as some other specialty purebred. We also specialize in neonates (of any breed). We tend to take the more significant medical cases, especially orthopedic. As a result we are a deliberately small rescue. We are very careful not to overextend our human and/or financial resources.

CKC is a non-profit kitten rescue who's focus is to spay/neuter and re-home stray kittens and cats who may be at risk. We also specialize in the care of bottle babies and very young kittens that have been separated from their mothers. Our staff of knowledgeable fosters, a partnership with Blue Sky Animal Clinic, and oversight by vet staff allows us to manage the most delicate of circumstances while providing the best possible outcome.

Sugar Glider Guardians is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping gliders in need and educating owners on the best practices of glider husbandry. Sugar Glider Guardians was founded because of the overwhelming number of sugar gliders who are neglected, in danger, and poorly cared for. At Sugar Glider Guardians, we focus on helping gliders by networking to find homes for sugar gliders in need, and fundraising so we can make financial contributions for veterinary care. We also focus on neutering, mentoring, arranging transportation, compiling useful resources, and general education relating to sugar gliders. McHenry County Animal Control & Adoption Center serves the people and pets of McHenry County. We promote responsible pet ownership and animal safety through services like humane education, low cost microchip and rabies vaccine clinics, and connections with community partners for other services. We help reunite owners and lost pets, and have an adoption center where we adopt out pets that are unable to be reunited with an owner.

“This is the first day of the rest of your life, and you will never have to worry again.” We want as many dogs as possible to hear those words. In 2017, the force of Hurricane Harvey showed us that we could – NEEDED – to do so much more to help so many sick, homeless, and abandoned dogs. We helped save 47 dogs just in that first mission. We have seen things that we cannot unsee. Our main focus is to help homeless, neglected or abused dogs find their way to a peaceful, loving home. The majority of our dogs come from the Deep South of Texas. This area is in complete crisis. You can look down any street and see 10 dogs, emaciated, dehydrated, tick and flea infested, injured, homeless, helpless, and innocent. Thousands of dogs just looking for a family. The local shelters are overrun, and dogs are just left to fend for themselves. We want more for them. We bring dogs back to Pennsylvania, show them lots of love, heal them, train them, and find them the best homes. So that’s how the name originated: the dogs would come to PA=Pennsylvania for a short time, a Pitstop along their journey to a forever home. PA Pitstop.

We are a senior pet rescue who helps senior pets in need and we help senior humans with their pets. We take in pets when owners pass away or go to hospice, pull older pets from our shelters and help senior humans feed their pets and help with vet visits etc.

My name is Jessica Zamora and I operate an independent micro rescue in the city of Manteca Ca. I have been rescuing for over 9 years now and have experience learned from 3 different shelters/rescues before starting my own. I started because I love cats, but continued when I realized how easy shelters would euthanize if a foster or rescue couldn't be found. In Manteca, there is only one other rescue that takes kittens, but not bottle babies. They mostly focus on TNR. I do this because I love it and my city needs a place to take orphaned kittens.

Tiny N Tall Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non for profit organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to providing temporary shelter, veterinary care and behavioral support for small and giant breed dogs as they transition into carefully selected homes. We rescue Tiny breeds under 25 pounds and Giant breeds. Our rescue is all foster based and we rely solely on donations. We provide medical care, shelter, a full belly and lots of LOVE to Tiny and Giant breed dogs. We have a great team of foster homes and volunteers that make this possible. Tiny N Tall Rescue, Inc. was established in 2017 by Melissa Young and Niccalina Santilli, who both grew up with tiny dogs and now as adults both own Great Danes . After recognizing the need for a rescue dedicated to the tinies and talls of the canine world, the rest was history! They dedicate their time to providing medical care, shelter, a full belly and lots of LOVE to tiny and giant breed dogs until they find their furever homes.

We rescue at risk dogs, and sometimes cats, from kill shelters. We provide all medical care including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Our goal is to be a voice for those who can't speak.

I am one of the non-profit's founders (received 501c3 status in 2007) and the original mission was to TNR and care for the community cats on the University of Georgia property and remove any tame cats and kittens for adoption. As the only TNR group in the area we soon were asked to help beyond campus and our mission is now summed up as: "Cat Zip Alliance/Campus Cats is an all-volunteer group with no paid employees, so you know your donations go directly to covering vet care, food, and supplies. Our broad mission is to promote humane and effective community cat management through our Trap-Neuter-Return-Monitor (TNR), barn cat, and adoption programs in order to keep community cats out of animal control facilities. On a smaller scale, we care for the community cats that live on and adjacent to University of Georgia property every day. On a larger scale, we loan out traps, conduct TNR workshops & trapping training sessions, and provide the resources someone might need in order to manage community cats in their own backyards or place of business, serving Athens Clarke County and surrounding counties in mid- and NE Georgia." My personal interest in this endeavor is as a professional wildlife biologist/ornithologist with many years of inventory and monitoring experience. I am a strong advocate for the humane and proven technique of TNR as the best solution we currently have for reducing community cat populations and subsequently reducing conflicts with wildlife but, believe just as strongly that there needs to be standard protocols established for TNR.

My name is Denise Reiner, and I have been advocating for homeless, and injured cats for more then 25 years. We take in many medical cases yearly that other rescues turn away. We take some of wost cases , and do our very best at a happy after for them. We assist in the community by empowering the community, and encouraging them to get involved with care for and spay/neuter cats
