I am the executive director of the rescue. I love dogs! I've rescued animals of all types since I was a young child. As an adult I have been given an opportunity to rescue and rehabilitate on a much larger scale. the senior and hospice pups that need extra love and care to allow them to be comfortable in the final stage of their lives. Our mission is to rescue, provide rehabilitation and training to dogs with adoption barriers until responsible, loving homes can be found. We advocate for keeping people and pets together by offering education and extensive training resources. And, when necessary, a safe place to stay. We rescue dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages with our focus being with seniors (7 years and older) and dogs in need of hospice palliative care. The foundation of our rescue is our foster base. I am also a designer and owner of a restaurant and deli that donates a % of proceeds to rescues.

Lucky Cats Rescue

565 Mount Auburn St
Watertown
Massachusetts
02472
info@luckycastrescue.org
Support: We aim to give support to other shelters and rescues for cats and kittens that need specialized or longer term care due to medical or behavioral needs. Providing relief and resources to aid their staff through our partnerships in multiple ways. We want to work with the great organizations that already exist around Massachusetts, New England, and beyond to strengthen our impact together. We additionally aim to provide temporary housing and loving care, medical aid, and safety with Emergency Foster Care, in partnering with local Domestic Violence Shelters for those Victims that are in transition and do not have an alternative place to bring their pet. Many domestic violence shelters are not able to accommodate pets and this is a huge factor in why many victims are unwilling to leave a violent relationship. We want to help make sure this is less of a worry, we are here to help protect and support these victims and their pets. Placement: Our adoption process has a focus on two goals. First, we take special care and consideration into why you would like to adopt one of our cats and how you feel you can best offer the care and love one would need due to each cats unique history. If you are a selfless human and have previous history with any sick, traumatized, senior or special needs cats or willingness to learn, please consider adopting through us and becoming an Emotional Support Human for a cat that needs you. Second, we want to look at the other side of the same coin. How can a cat or kitten help you? We all know the power of a cat’s touch when we are feeling so sick, physically or mentally. They always “seem to know”, right? Cats and animals are not a cure in anyway, but the comfort, companionship, and joy one can bring through a bond with their cat in the darkest of times is undeniable. So if you are in need of a cat companion, please feel comfortable filling out our Emotional Support Cat Application, we are here to listen and help match you with a cat that is just right for you and your life. Protection: In the heartbreaking weeks and months following the passing of a loved one, often the pets are left with family or friends. Pets grieve too. Being with family is what’s best for the pet as they are with familiar faces and can transition well in their new home without their human. In other cases, unfortunately, no one is able to take the cat(s) in or it becomes more work than they are able to handle in their time of grief. We want to be there for you and your loved one's cat(s). We understand what it's like and how hard it can be in times of transition. We will offer a safe and judgement free place for you. We take our time to find the best new home for your loved one's cat to be spoiled and happy or we will offer the cat a permanent Sanctuary placement with one of our amazing Forever Foster Homes. With the donations and sponsorships from our donors, our Forever Foster Homes will retain Lucky Cats Rescue's help and support to make sure the cat is loved and cherished for the rest of their life.

Kitten Rescue 101

California
94555
thekittenrescue101@gmail.com
About me: I'm Yurika- director and founder of Kitten Rescue 101. I have been in cat rescue for about 10 years originally fostering for a local human society. The school that I worked at had over 200 feral cats with litters of kittens being born all the time so I began TNR-ing the adults and fostering litters of kittens. However during Covid, all access to resources were shut down. I couldn't get spay/neuter appts, shelters would not take in animals, etc. Being known as the "cat person", many people reached out to me asking for help with kittens, but I had no resources. I had 16 kittens that I needed to find homes for with zero access to care. It was at this time, I decided that I needed to start my own organization, get 501-c3 status, and tax exempt status and I would have better access to vets, etc. Since our inception in 2021, we have successfully adopted out over 300 cats and kittens, have access to a rescue vet, meds, and partnerships with other organizations and companies. I even quit my professional job to do cat rescue and now work at a cat clinic! Cat rescue has changed my life completely and the impact that we have been able to make is exponential compared to rescuing cats as a solo individual. About our Org: It is our mission to rescue cats and kittens and provide them with supportive medical care, socialization, food, and shelter to reduce unnecessary suffering, and to find them a forever home. We believe that all animals deserve a chance at life. We are an all volunteer non-profit with just me and one primary other person who does all the intake, meds, posting, marketing, adoption events, etc. We have fosters, and a few other volunteers who help with caring for the kittens that are at our adoption center at Petsmart.
