Renegade Rescue Inc.

Georgia

RenegadeRescueGa@gmail.com
We are Renegade Rescue GA. We started our rescue after working with many other organizations and finding that the lack of care given to finding quality adoption homes as well as basic care for sick animals was not how we wanted to be. We branched off and do thing a bit different. Georgia has no spay neuter laws and this makes out state over run with stray cats and dogs. We are all about quality over quantity and always finding the best forever home for the animal.

Hearts for Rescue is a foster based rescue group who takes in animals without homes; we foster them, care for them, spay/neuter & find new homes through networking. We do this because there is a problem with unwanted animals in our areas that are without proper care and end up in a cycle of reproducing. We hope to make a positive impact on the number of unwanted animals by educating people about the proper care and about the importance of spaying and neutering.

This organization started in July 14 as a foster based rescue and continued foster based until January of 17 when a shelter had to be built and it not be a foster based rescue anymore. A building was put up on my property to house dogs and know exactly what was going on with them. I am a retired Navy Petty officer with 24 years and I have a background of 4 and half years of Ohio Humane Agent with Darke County Humane society, I have an AA in Vet technician as well as I am in schooling for dog training. I rescue pit and that is my main passion but I rescue other dogs as well. I pull from kill shelters mostly and stopped recently taking owner surrenders. I do it because the dogs have no voice so I speak for them

Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue, Inc.

1602 Blossom Lane
Wisconsin
53716
operations@sftsrescue.org(608) 284-7447
Shelter From the Storm Animal Rescue, Inc. was form in 2005 by Allison Davies in response to the overwhelming amount of animals being euthanized in area shelters. Shelter From The Storm is an all breed cat and dog rescue and focuses on alleviating overcrowding in shelters and helping adoptable/treatable animals. Since its inception, Shelter from the Storm helped the Humane Society of the United States during Hurricane Katrina by transporting over 100 animals to safety in Wisconsin, where they were vetted, placed in foster care and ultimately place in forever homes. We also worked with the HSUS in dealing with a local hoarding situation at the Thyme and Sage Ranch in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Thyme and Sage was operating as an animal rescue and as the animal control agency for that area, but was housing in excess of 300 animals. Many of our pets are placed into a home environment with a suitable foster home. Here they begin basic training, receive socialization, and learn what it's like to live in a home. We also attend to their medical needs including vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, and flea/tick prevention. In 2008, in furtherance of its mission, Spay Me! Clinic was opened. Dr. Richard Brown, Elizabeth Yohn, CVT, and Allison Davies, have all performed high volume spay/neuter procedures in a variety of locations and settings and used their knowledge to set up Spay Me! Clinic. At the beginning, surgeries were performed once a week and gradually expanded to six days a week by the end of 2009. Currently, we have two veterinarians, two certified veterinary technicians and several highly trained veterinary assistants on staff. We also utilized volunteers from the general public, volunteer veterinarians, and CVT's. Our clinic provides a great educational setting for veterinary and veterinary technician students who want to learn more about shelter medicine and high volume spay/neuter procedures. Spay Me! Clinic is open to the public, but a main element of the clinic is to extend a helping hand to other rescues and shelters by offering spay/neuter services at a lower cost. Since we are also a rescue, we understand the importance of running a business and keeping costs down. Our veterinarians and staff have become skilled in high volume spay/neuter procedures and continue to expand their skill set. Additional procedures have gradually been added and now include dentals, amputations, foreign object removals, and ACL repairs, to name a few. These "special" procedures are reserved for shelters, rescues, and individuals that have a financial need. Currently we are spaying and neutering over 12,000 dogs and cats every year. Shelter from the Storm is a Madison, WI based non-profit, all breed dog and cat rescue whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rate of healthy and adoptable animals and to improve the lives of companion animals. We do this by: *Finding permanent home for animals in need *Providing support to communities who do not have access to humane organizations *Educating the public on responsible pet ownership *Providing access to affordable spay, neuter and veterinary care.
