MISSION Helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through fostering, adoption, education, spaying or neutering, and community collaboration. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization.

We are a small team of three women with a passion for rescuing dogs and rewriting their futures. We rescued 200 dogs in our first year of operation and are on track to more than double that number in our second year. We are saving more dogs than ever before, and our growing community has allowed us to take on more vulnerable cases like medical dogs and litters of puppies. We know that every dog deserves a loving home, and we are dedicated to making that a reality.

We cater to animals with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. We educate vets, shelters and the community on CH to stop the unnecessary euthanasia of these animals.

Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska is where animals come first! We are a foster based all-volunteer rescue that is devoted to rescuing and re-homing abandoned, suffering, and homeless dogs and cats of all breeds. Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska provides loving homes, medical care, socialization, and rehabilitation until each animal’s forever home is found. We are dedicated to not just finding any adoptive home but the best fitting home for every individual animal and adoptive family.

Carbon County Friends of Animals is a non-profit organization which advocates the elimination of animal suffering through sheltering and finding homes for unwanted pets. We also promote low-cost spaying and neutering, and provide educational outreach concerning the welfare of pets. We are a privately run organization, founded in 1997 from a direct need to shelter unwanted cats within our county. Although Carbon County is part of our organization name, we do NOT receive any funding from the county or any other government agency. Unlike the Carbon County Shelter, which is a county-run organization providing shelter for unwanted or stray dogs that receives government funding, all of our operating, maintenance, and care expenses are paid for by monies raised by fund-raising and donations. Our goal is to try to shelter as many cats as possible without having to look towards euthanasia as a means of control. We continuously rely and greatly appreciate the donations that we receive from our generous contributors.

NBARR primarily rescues medical case animals from animal shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized due to their issues. NBARR will on occasion take in owner surrenders on a case by case basis.

Beaumont Pets Alive was formed in 2018 to help the City of Beaumot become a no kill city. We accomplished that by the end of 2018 and have continued to help the City Shelter by pulling at risk animals from their euthanasia lists. We also pull from other local city shelters.

Downtown Dog Rescue is a 501C3 non profit. Since 1996 we rescue dogs in need and provide access to veterinary care for pets that live with families who identify as homeless or low income.

Our threefold mission is to provide every cat in need a forever home, be a sanctuary where cats will have a second chance to live a full life in a no-cage, no-kill environment, and to lead the effort to make Central Illinois a no-kill community by ending euthanasia as a method of controlling feline populations.

At Hope for China Dogs, we are committed to combating the cruel and inhumane practice of the dog meat trade in China. We believe that every dog deserves to live a life free from pain and suffering, which is why we are dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs who have been victims of this trade. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for these dogs, promote education and awareness around the dog meat trade, and advocate for its abolition. We work closely with our volunteers in China to rescue dogs from slaughterhouses, meat markets & trucks, and other dangerous situations, and bring them to immediate safety in China. From there we address any immediate medical needs, and begin the process of flying them to the US where we find their loving forever homes. Through our work, we save lives, end suffering, and bring happiness to dogs and humans. We ultimately hope to bring an end to the dog meat trade, and create a more compassionate world for all dogs and animals.

Mary's Meow Rescue is the heart-mission of just two ol’ ladies whose soft spot is for defenseless, newborn kittens that still need bottle-feeding. We have been rescuing kittens for a combined 31 years, but we cannot do this without the support of our local community. We have a way for everyone to help in whatever way works for you. We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to provide temporary foster homes for kittens in need. As you may know, neonatal kittens require round-the-clock care and attention, and without foster homes, they may not receive the specialized care they need to thrive. By fostering a kitten, you can make a significant difference in their lives, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment until they are old enough to be adopted into permanent homes. I started PAWS-OK in 2008 with a vet friend. Prior to that, I had volunteered at the local shelter and then with another rescue before i struck out on my own. Over 90% of our rescues come from private citizens but also, on occasion take medical cases from local shelters. Every cat who comes into our hands is S/N before adoption and offer free s/n & vacs to community cats with or pregnant with, kittens before being returned to their caretakers. Our organization is very small and all rescues are fostered in volunteer homes until they are ready to go to our Adoption Center. We check out all our potential adopters to verify living arrangements (rent, owns etc) and call their vets to confirm s/n status of existing pets and record of care (UTD on vaccs & seen annually for wellness exams). Our minimum age to adopt is 21. Our contract requires cats be indoor only pets and that the owners will not declaw them. Currently we have placed approx 1600 cats.

Based in Douglas County Georgia, PPCR is a fully volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit that rescues abused, neglected and unwanted cats and kittens from local animal shelters, the majority of them from “Death Row.”

OklaHOME Animal Rescue, Inc. is the newest foster-based dog rescue focused on transparency and advocacy for the voiceless 🤍 Our focus is on the small, rural, underfunded, and high-kill shelters in our state to make the biggest impact.

The Surrey Animal Resource Centre is the animal control facility for the City of Surrey which is the 2nd largest city in BC and the 12th largest city in Canada with a population of over 500,000. The centre helps animals and humans in our community through licensing, reuniting animals with their owner, and adopting out those who do not have an owner. We want to see all of our homeless animals adopted to folks who've thought long and hard about what kind of animal is right for their situation, and who've committed to providing: Good nutrition, Regular veterinary care, and Mental and physical stimulation appropriate to the individual animal.
