We are a nonprofit animal rescue that strives to end canine neglect and build a bully-breed loving society through adoption programming and advocacy. We envision a society where bully breeds are accepted, and responsible pet ownership is expected. With occasional exceptions, all dogs available for adoption through our rescue are pit bulls, bully breeds and their mixes. Most are pulled from high-capacity municipal shelters and holding pens around our state, at risk of euthanasia due to breed, age, illness, injury, behavior, temperament, or lack of space. Once in rescue, each dog is placed in a foster home, where they are exposed to various environments to gauge behaviors, responses, and triggers. This process allows us to select the adoptive placement best suited for each individual dog. As a result, we operate on a “Best Fit” Model of Adoption, where every application is processed, and the home determined best suited to meet the needs of the specific dog is selected.

We're a small kitten rescue, but 100 orphaned or injured kittens find their way into our kitten room every year. Many come here in need of immediate medical care so we do all we can to raise funds to cover vet costs. We pet sit in our area and we have annual garage sales. We also have considerable support from a loving community that helps us keep our pantry full. We love to see happy pets and happy families finding the love they were reaching out to find.

Kiski Valley Cat & Kitten Rescue, Inc.

PO Box 19
PA
15613
Kiski Valley Cat & Kitten Rescue was established in 2000. We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and neglect towards cats by providing shelter to homeless cats until we can find them permanent homes of their own. Necessary veterinary treatment, including spaying, neutering, Distemper, and Rabies vaccinations are obtained for them. Euthanasia is not considered unless a cat is gravely ill and it needs to be done to prevent or end the cat's suffering.  The shelter runs solely on the help of volunteers and donations.  We do this because we love cats and want to do as much as we can for them.

We are a no kill shelter who aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We encourage people to adopt pets instead of shopping for pets! We promote keeping pets healthy through routine vet care, getting adequate nutrition and exercise, and we recruit volunteers on a regular basis to work with our animals. We have very few employees (only 2 currently) and run almost entirely on a volunteer staff.

We are a non-profit fully foster based dog and cat rescue. We take in dogs/cats locally from other shelters in the Rochester area as well as owner surrenders and strays as well as travel to the southern states to pull dogs from overcrowded and under funded kill shelters. Our mission is to find loving families that will be forever homes for as many dogs and cats as we can so that they do not end up in a shelter or on the street again.

We specialize in neonates and special needs. If they require more than traditional care, I will usually get a call from local shelters and contacts in my area. I have worked in the vet field for many years and I love and breath cats. Each life is important and we fight to save as many as we can.

Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope is a [volunteer, home, foster-based] rescue sanctuary located in Galesburg, Illinois. We are dedicated and passionate about rescuing, rehabbing, training, educating and finding forever homes for our lost and stray, animals. It is the mission of Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope (SSOH) to address, educate, rescue, and provide aid and relief to eradicate neglected, abused, abandoned and unwanted companion animals at risk of euthanasia and homelessness throughout the country. It is our duty to be available when we are capable to provide immediate transport, veterinary care, and shelter to provide safe and nurturing foster homes where these dogs can heal, both mentally and physically, until permanent homes are found through our adoption screening process. It is our purpose to provide and promote the importance of proper care, consistent vaccinations, and spaying and neutering of domesticated animals to decrease the growing population of canines and felines which increases the burden on government-run animal shelters. Serendipittys Sanctuary of Hope (SSOH) is a nonprofit no-kill animal welfare corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. Our board is uniquely combined with not only passion, but talent and skills. President/Founder and Humane Investigator, Jen Wilson; Vice President and AC Officer, Josh Miller; and Treasurer/Secretary and McDonough County Ex. Administrator (dispatch) Jeanette Moon. We were most recently selected and awarded with the Missing Animal Response Network (MARN) Scholarship provided by Petco Love Lost beginning in June 2021. We require all volunteers to be certified on our lost dogs and TNR trapping teams.

We are a hodgepodge group of rescuers with myriad backgrounds and decades of experience in working with other rescues. SSAR was formed when its founders saw a need for more clear and open communication and an adoption process that involved conversations instead of check boxes. We are friendly, communicative and EXTREMELY passionate about excellent matches between families and family friends.
